    Confused feelings for a neighbour

I started chatting to a neighbour a few months ago. I invited him to mines to watch a film as friends, which i made clear but he wants more than friends. We get on great, chat, laugh, wind each other up, he keeps saying there’s an attraction but im not sure. He gives me compliments all the time (which i am not used to). Half way through the film (that we didn’t watch because we were chatting and laughing the whole time) he started cuddling me, kissing my forehead, playing with my hair, kissing my cheek. He caught me off guard and kissed me, i started to kiss him back (i barely kissed him) but then I stopped. We have a dinner planned and he thinks of it as a date even though i said as friends. thing is he is nice, funny but i dont find him attractive. Should i give it a chance and maybe attraction will grow? I dont want to lead him on but i dont want to throw away something that could be really good just because i dont fancy him.
