Is it acceptable to “friend request” after just one date?

I struggle with finding a balance between being assertive and showing I am interested and trying to act a little bit aloof, not coming off desperate or stalker-ish. Sometimes I tend to go too far to the reserved side and wait to long, let the connection pass. I think we had a connection but I am finding it tough to read her. She agreed to a 2nd date but then cancelled today at the last minute…

I would wait to friend’s request personally. Maybe just send her one txt just saying have a nice day/ night and leave it until she responds… If she doesn’t then you know she’s brushing you off. Good luck

I agree with Blondey on this one. I say wait to friend request after you get a chance to see how it goes after the second date. If you’re still interested I would see it socially acceptable to do it then
