Me and this guy has been flirting with each other for 3months.a few days ago i confessed to him that i like him and he said he likes me back. He says that you’re mine and i’m yours but let’s not be a couple just yet and take it slow. I’m fine with that as long as i know he likes me back.the thing is, he has started to act a little distant. I don’t know what’s in his mind. Does he need time to process things or does he feel awkward now that we have declared our feelings for each other or perhaps he thinks its wrong for us to start a relationship?

From my experience, and from the wise advice of the book, “He’s Just Not That Into You”… when a guy is interested in you, he will make sure that you know it. It may sound shallow/ sexist, but when men are attracted to a woman, they will go out of their way to make time for her and put her first. If he’s not doing these things, then unfortunately, it’s more than likely that A.) He’s just not hat into you, or B.) (depending on his age) He may just not be mature enough for you. High school guys hide their feelings well, because they’re either too embarrassed to show them in front of other high school students/friends, or they just don’t know how to.

If he really liked you he wouldn’t try to be that distant, his feelings may have changed.
