Help! Need Male POVs for my online profile

Hi, I have a great profile on Zoosk, at least I ‘think’ I do. It’s witty, unique, not too long and not cliche. plus, i can spell and I am articulate. I talk about what I’m all about, the music I like etc. I also talk about what I want from you or as they put it, my ”perfect match’. I’m never negative, always emphasizing the good qualities like protective, humble, a sense of humor, bla, bla, bla. I don’t even say it in those terms, instead I use examples to express myself. Also, I have 5 pictures. 3 are candid, one selfie and one of me staring up at a sky scraper tall cactus. But who knows? I have gotten responses but it’s as if they never even read my profile. I think I am fairly attractive too. So, here are some questions for you guys:
1: what are the best and worst female profiles on a dating site and why?
2: should i always wait for someone to initiate the chat or should i just go for it? i really want him to be the one to initiate but i’m open to suggestion.
