Matched with an old acquaintance, not sure what to do

So I recently joined dating sites just to see if I could find the type of man I was looking for, Catholic, online or if I would have to be social and talk to men in person. I was kind of poking around on one site and saw someone I grew up with at church and just laughed it off, when he popped up in my matches on a different site I decided to give it a shot, he remembered me without me even having to say I knew him and we have been talking since but I am not sure how to broach the topic of if he does want to talk just as old “friends” since we grew up in the same parish with the same people or if I should see if he is interested in possibly dating. I don’t know how to bring it up either way, we just talk online, but I want to know if we are thinking the same thing or different. I would also love to see him next time I am home(an hour away) but don’t know how to mention that either.

Sometimes in situations like that it is just best to be up front and honest what is the worst that is going to happen? Just take life by the horns and go for it!!

Yes, I agree. Be up front and honest and see what happens. Honesty is almost always a good policy.

    I agree too
Be upfront and honest:) If he doesn’t want more you can continue meeting others who do online!!
And I’m sure you can still meet up even if it’s just a frienship:)
