I agree with Cynthia and was interviewed on television last week about the Raymond Holycross case. While this is so unfortunate for the women who were involved, know that dating safely is something we all must pay attention to, whether we meet someone online or offline.

John, thanks for commenting. One thing is for certain, meeting people from online dating sites is a risk. So is meeting someone at a bar or a grocery store, though. I believe it’s the men and women who are a bit naive to running background checks and letting their guard down so easily, that need to stop. Unfortunately, scammers will exist and find new avenues to attack the weak-minded.

Hopefully with so many new dating sites coming up, people will be more cautious when opening a virtual door to their home.
