He is not affectionate and never kisses me. We have been together for five years on and off. In between, we dated others and we go back to each other. He does not talk about love or commitment but is always with me. I am holding back until I find somebody else.
Why does he act like this? Is he emotionally unstable?

It sounds like you two are attached but not intimate. Newsflash girlfriend: Men aren’t usually the first ones to talk about love and commitment. Can you talk about what’s going on? I’d ask for information if this is a guy you really care about.
