    A unique situation

Long story short… Met a girl, we lived together, she had a 2 year old son and dad is not involved. I have always been skittish on the kid stuff and scoff at the idea of having children. So we dated/ lived together for 8 months, she declared that she was in love with me but I wasn’t 100% sure I shared that same level of affection yet. A month or two later she feels there was no passion between us and we mutually split. The hardest thing is letting go of her son, he and I really bonded and as a result I started feeling like I would love to be his father and start a family. After the break up she agreed to let me still be a part of his life and I watch him when she works on the weekends. she has moved out but started dating some younger Air Force guy, I really can’t see this lasting though… So I’m left wondering if she still wants to be with me at all. I feel I do love her and am ready to start a family. Do I let this run it’s course or do I tell her how I feel?
