    Comforting nervous parents?

So, I’m someone who hasn’t really dated as of yet (despite being 18, long story). But now I’m going on a date/hanging out with a guy that I started talking to in the middle of May and have been talking to almost every day since then. We haven’t spoken over the phone but we have exchanged pictures and talked about our personal lives as well. As of yet, I’ve seen no red flags or anything that I’m iffy about in regards to him.

Meanwhile, my mother is terrified. I understand that her fear is mainly stemming from the fact that I haven’t dated before, I’m dating someone I met online, etc. She herself has been into online dating for a while now, she even met her now husband on a dating site. So, I know she knows the rules and risks when dating online.

My question is, what are some ways I can try to comfort her and ease her worries about the upcoming date?
