I am a bit confused . I went to a friend’s engagement party. My ex that I only dated a few months was here with his gf. We didnt talk to each other at the beginning. I noticed he was looking and talking about me to one of his friends that I dont know. After a few drinks he hugs me ask how I have been we laugh. Then I was dancing and he would com e and dance with me and the other person. I was glad because even though I dont have romantic feelings for him anymore I was happy we were able to have a good time together. And seeing him with his gf didnt bother me at all.
Then I ran into him yesterday and he pretended he didnt know me. We made eye contact. It kind of hurt me for some reason. Why didnt he say hi at least. He was with his gf but she already saw me

May be his gf had a problem with the fact that you two had fun together while at the party (even if it was truly platonic)!

The way he acted when you ran into him after the party is prolly the same kind of reason you two did not stay together for more than a few months.
Both of you had an opportunity to say something…you could have said hi first…but hes prolly a jerk.

kinda like what datingadvicneeded said she may have yelled at him or something after the party and then when he saw you next he freaked and just pretended not to know you

If this wasn’t his regular behavior before, then her talking to him makes sense. The other possibility is that he may be distancing himself now to give his new relationship space, not out of jealousy but out of self realization.
