I’m a 30/M & in a relationship for over 1 year. We recently moved in together and I sincerely love her. We have had talks to get married, have a baby, the whole nine yards.
My issue is my ex fiancee. I was with her for 7 years and we also had those plans. The thing is, I screwed it up. I cheated on her with numerous girls, didn’t communicate well and just was an overall bad boyfriend towards the end of our relationship. We ended on horrible terms , haven’t spoken in 2 years.
I learned from that experience and treat the new girl the complete opposite. We communicate well never have strayed and put her before me. The thing is, I can’t get my ex out of my head. I think about her everyday with hopes of running into her. I know she is engaged and happy and I feel good about that for her. I just want to see her once more, I’m not even sure why. I don’t expect us to ever be anything again, but why can’t I get this to go away? I really just want her to see me once and smile. Is it guilt?

It’s probably just a closure thing. However if you feel like you’re still in love with your ex, you need to take a step back and think about if you’re ready to take your relationship with your fiancee to the next level.
