I’m really intrigued by the online dating world but I’ve noticed the age group is spreading a lot. Understandable since more people are jumping on board but I’ve seen people who are 70+. It’s just around my grandmother’s age and it’s a little difficult for me to even THINK what they could be messaging about. guess I shouldn’t, but either way-disturbing right?
robb432ParticipantNovember 9, 2012 at 3:33 pm #15772
People of all age deserve love and happiness. If they think they’ll find it on an online dating site, then who are you to deny them that chance?
saraParticipantNovember 22, 2012 at 12:33 am #17109
Of course it is disturbing. Especially when a 70+ year old guy will tell me that he is 30+…
carolParticipantNovember 23, 2012 at 11:47 am #17135
I guess the new 70 is 50 these days. I wouldn’t have any problem with it. If two people want to talk about whatever and they both have no problem with it, more power to them.

Each to their own I guess. Personally I wouldn’t date a guy more than a year younger and any more that 6 years older
kazeParticipantJune 6, 2016 at 10:11 am #102168
The older you get the less age matters. 18 and 28 a big difference.. 28 and 38 not so much, 38 and 48 even less.
agirlygeekParticipantJune 6, 2016 at 8:23 pm #102272
It honestly just depends on the person and what they’re comfortable with. If a 20 year old and a 40 year old are truly interested in each other and age isn’t a big deal to them, why shouldn’t they just go for it? I just don’t think we should set limits when it comes to age. It’s all about what the individual people are comfortable with.

Everyone deserves love. My grandmother remarried at 80 and they are happily in love.

As long as you are still searching, I dont see why not?
waiting4snowParticipantJune 23, 2016 at 1:36 pm #103935
People grow up slower and age slower these days….Kids are not allowed to walk to school by themselves until they are ready to get their driver license. And with advances in medicine and science, people live much longer now and are aging slower
vwbenzlamboParticipantJune 23, 2016 at 2:18 pm #103937
Every person is different, it is a matter of comfort level. I believe love is love and if they are happy with a person, no matter what the age is, who are we to stop them.
AriumblaqParticipantJune 23, 2016 at 8:58 pm #103974
I will admit the thought seems odd, but everyone ‘loves’.
bethanywantsadviceParticipantJune 24, 2016 at 2:46 pm #104034
Age is just a number, but it’s maturity level that matters. If someone is thirty years older than you they’re probably going to act thirty years older than you. But if you guys can meet in the middle, and it feels right, then why not?
valerietParticipantJune 26, 2016 at 4:52 pm #104100
I think it’s right, because there are people of all ages have the right to love.
