Me and this girl have been good friends for a while (read: years). I know what they say about friendzones and shit, but I have never seen any proof of this in real life. So, me and her are very similar, we like the same music, have very similar interests and we chat all the time. When us and our other friends get together, she often sits next to me (for example, if I sat on a couch in a room with four other empty couches, she would sit next to me as opposed to anywhere else). She also makes excuses to see me often and be near me. When she does this, she often leans on me, almost as if trying to snuggle or something. Often when we chat, she seems rather flirtatious and teasing. Special note: I know she does not do this with our other friends, or other people in general. I feel like we might have something together, but I cannot tell what she thinks. Another thing, she acts a little jealous when I’m talking to other girls.
is she interested? or is this how a girl treats close friends?

From my very initial look at your situation, it really sounds like she’s interested!
throwaway1944ParticipantJanuary 2, 2015 at 12:10 am #69784
that sounds like good news! I can post more detail if needed

It sounds like she is interested for sure. If it walks like a duck and looks like a duck, then it’s a duck. Have you asked her out on a date? What body language do you give in return? Life is about chances, don’t let the ones that are looking you square in the eyes pass you by.

Consensus seems to be that you definitely should try and go for it!

Seriously… She is at the very least curious. Man up and ask her out. If she refuses at first, it may just be nerves. If you really like her and aren’t sure about asking her out right away, do something nice for her. Buy her flowers, show up at her work unannounced, something to let her know that you are thinking about her when you are not together. Easy day…
