I don`t know how to stop looking

    Hey everyone,

I am having trouble with something. I dont know how to stop looking for women to date. I seem to have extremist tendencies and I want to work on changing that behavior. For instance, one day Ill feel great about myself and enable my online dating profiles like POF and Tinder and initiate conversations with women, and days where I feel like crap Ill shut everything down and pretty much avoid women entirely. Where I struggle, is regardless what I think I am doing, I am still always keeping an eye open in public places and looking for opportunities. Its draining me. I dont know how to stop and just not care about women and dating. It’s nearly always on my mind. I also find myself bingging sexually because of living in these extremes and I know it’s not healthy. I like flirting, but I hate games and riddles. The whole eye contact approach things at the bar is something I really don’t understand. I don’t lack the confidence, I`m just tired of always initiating.

I think you have to work on yourself. Find more hobbies, work on self improvement, and be happy with yourself. It sounds like you use dating and sex to fill a void but imo you don’t need a gf or lover to validate yourself or be a good person.
