A guy, that I always thought was cute always came off arrogant to me. The first time he approached me had a witty comment, and I blushed and dug up a bland answer in response. I noticed that he started to look at me often. Across a room he would smile and practically stare at me, which made me super shy. He would make sure to say Hi to me even when I didn’t notice he was passing by. Then he would try to start conversations with me, meeting me early before class started and giving me compliments. All which I brushed off and stood defensive. He started to ask me more personal questions about my family upbringing and I reacted the same. I was confused. I couldn’t be sure of his intentions, and I don’t want to get hurt. I started ignoring him and surrounding myself with my friends. One day he walked right between us and said Hi only to me. Ignored him. One of my friends even said “why didn’t you say hi to me?” He just kept looking at me and said “I just want her to be my friend.”

If he is going to be impolite to your friends is he even worth considering?

He likes you. He’s pursuing much harder than I ever would. He may have ignored your friends in an effort to show you are the only one he wants.
