So my problem is that I keep running into what I think are lame guys (online dating). Do you think guys should initiate the first date? I always leave it up to the guy and feel frustrated when he suggests some place I don’t like or he doesn’t make plans with me with much advance notice. I don’t know how many times I’ve had a guy ask me if I want to go out on a date that same day. I just feel like it’s disrespectful of my time to do that. I always decline these invites but then there is other similar scenarios that happen such as getting it down to the day and place but then not hearing from the guy about a time until that day. Like I have nothing else to do with time. The guy I was most recently talking to said he would be back in town around 8 but never sets up a time with me. Then I get a text at 7:00 asking if I can meet him at 7:30. Any advice? Am I being overly sensitive about it or should I just suggest a time myself? ? I’ve just always felt that a guy should initiate the first date, and initiate it respectfully. As a side not- I always let the guys initiate the first contact online so the guys I’m referring to have definitely been interested in me.
