So there is this girl i met around a week and a half ago. Im currently a senior in highschool and she is a sophomore. Ever since i saw her and started talking i feel like we hit it off pretty well, a bit of flirting and overall generally good. So the next week i spend time trying to get to know her better by spending lunches with her. She is from Russia and moved to North America 3 months ago. She speaks english quite well but may be a bit uncomfortable talking in it. Everytime i see her or in the same room as her she makes eye contact then immediatly stops when i look. She has also come up to me while i was at my locker to talk. Things have gone down hill from them, today being the day i questioned if she was actually into me, I’m walking down the street and notice shes behind me so i decide to strike up so conversation. She makes her answers brief and precise but dont leave much room for me to say anything more. She then goes to the bus stop as i carry on walking home. HELP?

She also consistently trys to avoid talking to me and i have made myself available to talk to her since the locker incident but she has not tryed anything despite my best efforts to try to engage in conversation while shes with her friends. She’s pretty shy and im so confused…
