I had heard a rumor about my gf. So this morning I had told her about it. I believe she has the right to know what people are saying about her. Well I told her about this and she flips out, I have tried tell her that I am not mad about which is the truth. What should I have do or should do now? Thank you.

Let her know that it was a rumor you heard and that it means nothing to you but that you believed she had the right to know and maybe ask why respecting her rights and giving her a chance to maybe tell some people the truth(getting rid of the rumor) has made her mad at you. Heading these things for the first time can be upsetting and she may have not been directly mad at you.
