There’s this beverage server at my local casino. About a year ago it started with awkward eye contact. Fast forward a few months and I buy my first drink from her while she’s bartending. Fast forward some more and I tell her I’ll buy her a drink after her 21st birthday, and she tells me the town she lives in so we can meet up there. She accepted my friend request on Facebook like 8 months ago, and we’ve messaged a few times but nothing other than that. I hinted big time a few months ago and it never went anywhere so I kind of figured she wasn’t interested.

Every time I’m in the casino, I let her do her thing, but yet every time she tries striking up a conversation while I’m at the bar in the casino. Keep in mind she isn’t working for tips from us because she usually works the floor and we usually sit in the bar. Now last night was a totally different ballgame.

Every time she came back with drink orders she would chat with me. Every time. She even came over to my side of the bar to look at my comps on the machine, and asked things like where I worked, what I did, what I ordered from the deli, and coincidentally enough, she happened to find a drink chip on the floor by us to the bar that she goes to regularly which was news to me. I was just assuming I had no shot with her, but last night was extremely confusing. What do you think?

” I {hinted big time} a few months ago and it never went anywhere so I kind of figured she wasn’t interested.”

Why hint? If it’s not worth asking for it’s not worth having.

The main reason why so many people end up in the “friend zone” is because they want to avoid being rejected.
And yet rejection saves everyone time! She may have just been a “great mood” (that night).

    Ask her out!
    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
If she says “no” you’re still in the same boat you were in before you asked her out.

In a world with over 7 Billion people rejection just means: NEXT!

    Best wishes!
