Was I not what she expected?

I had been talking with a girl for over a week via snapchat and texting and there were plenty of selfie exchanges and a ton of chemistry. She showed all the interest in me I could ask for, used all the emojis a guy would want to see and all that. We finally had the first date, which was only about an hour but i felt it went really well. She laughed a lot and smiled and gave me sass here and there and I seemed to have done most of the talking and filling in the awkward silences honestly. Afterwards she said i will probably see her again but even over texting I could tell there was doubt in her because her dermeanor changed. Eventually the next day she feeds me this story of finding out her ex was having a kid with someone else and that she still had feelings for him so it wouldnt work out between us. I found it too convenient timing to be the reason why she changed her mind. All i can think is it was something superficial when she first met and she doesnt have the heart to tell me?

Does it really matter? If someone no longer wants to see you so be it!
