The elements of the perfect bachelor party include: a male bonding experience centered around a group activity, revelry and hedonistic bacchanalia and, hopefully, no need for a “get out of jail free” card.

Your best buddy will only get married once (well…maybe twice), so why not celebrate it in style with a destination bachelor party the entire gang will never forget? It’s time to live out those champagne wishes and caviar dreams, just like the rich and famous.

Here are some of our top picks for the best bachelor party destinations on planet Earth.

1. Vegas, baby!

OK, it’s not a new idea, but no list would be complete without it. Sin City has the casinos, the dance clubs, the scantly-clad show girls and the fabulous cheap buffets that make it the most popular spot for an over-the-top bachelor party.

The hotels and flights are often available at bargain rates, too. Plus, it’s the only place in Nevada where prostitution is NOT legal, which might give the groom a better chance of actually making it to the altar.

For a stampede of leather-clad babelicious hotties, check out the Hard Rock Hotel.

2. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Nothing says “male bonding” like a fishing adventure, and there’s no fishing adventure like Cabo San Lucas. It’s fishing on steroids. Hauling in an 8-foot 400-pound marlin with the guys will be a memory they can talk about for years to come.

Then you can party with the animals along El Squid Roe into the wee hours, or escape to slightly more mature surroundings at Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo.

3. Jaco, Costa Rica.

Spend the morning surfing in the Pacific Ocean, the afternoon zip lining through the rain forest, dusk watching the magnificent sunset and the whole night in the strip joints and dance clubs. This is truly a man’s world filled with manly adventures.

Be careful, as Costa Rica has many temptations that could quickly change the scenario from a bachelor party to a “single again” therapy outing.

“Just find a vigorous activity

you can all enjoy together.”

4. Whistler, British Columbia.

Aspen, Vale and Jackson Hole are great destinations too, but Whistler has the youthful party action and a bevy of snow bunnies the bachelors will really enjoy.

After a day on the slopes, get ready for some potent cocktails and booming tunes at Buffalo Bill’s, where the party atmosphere always guarantees that a good time will be had by all. There are plenty of calmer upscale spots for your relaxation if your head begins to throb, too.

5. Scottsdale, Ariz.

You’ve always wanted to play Pebble Beach and Augusta, which are also great destinations for a bachelor getaway. But Scottsdale offers more than 200 golf courses, great dining and some of the world’s best party clubs.

Enjoy great steaks at Kona Grill, and then check out the abundant nightlife. Axis/Radius combines the upscale cigar bar with the techno glassy glitz. You might find a live concert at the Martini Ranch, or enjoy the country flavor of Rockin’ Rodeo.

There are lots of clubs to hop between, and some have great outdoor dance floors in the warm desert air.

6. Black Rock Desert, Nev.

For a post-apocalyptic “Mad Max” experience, escape from civilization all together at the annual late summer Burning Man Restival in Black Rock Desert, Nev.

The week of insanity is described by the Nevada Vacation Guide as combining “a Halloween bash, a circus sideshow, a pagan jamboree and a Tatooine spaceport,” and it really does have a Thunderdome featuring events that have to be seen to be believed and appreciated.

And you’re welcome to participate in the madness. It’s no day at the spa and requires roughing it in a tent and RV city that attracts upwards of 50,000 “burners.” This could go beyond a bonding experience and end up being a rite of passage into real manhood for all attendees.

And, yes, there are plenty of wild and crazy ladies there, too.

7. Cruisin’

There are many more destinations that could round out our top 7 — Carnaval in Rio, Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Oktoberfest in Munich, to name a few. But how about a Caribbean or Mediterranean cruise to really kick things up a notch?

Book a cruise that drops anchor overnight at Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Start the day with offshore activities, like deep-sea fishing, scuba dives and shark watching in the tranquil turquoise sea that wash onto glorious white sand beaches.

Casinos, poolside gambling and trendy dance clubs at The Cove and the 141-acre Aquaventure water park will nicely complete your day at the beach.

A Mediterranean stopover in Ibiza, Spain will put you in the midst of the world’s best known and most unique night spots. Privilege can handle 10,000 people, making it the largest club on the planet, and Space is set at the end of the airport’s runway, with low-flying jets passing overhead and blasting music to the cheers of all the people.

Not everyone has a budget of hundreds or thousands of dollars per head for a bachelor party, but you might be able to come up with a great idea that still includes a lot of the elements of these destination hot spots.

Just find a vigorous activity you can all enjoy together. Then after you play hard, be sure to party hard. Just don’t ruin the groom’s life or get arrested!
