The Short Version: The venue is a big part of a wedding experience. Whether you want an ocean view or a stand-alone banquet hall, choosing a venue that will fit your wedding desires is important. Located in Maine near the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire, the wedding venue Hardy Farm is known for helping couples achieve their wedding dreams. From the mountaintop views to the rustic barn, Hardy Farm offers couples a once-in-a-lifetime experience like no other.
What makes a wedding beautiful? Is it the shared kiss after the vows or the color-coordinated dresses the bridesmaids wear as they walk down the aisle? I like to think that it’s all the little things that make the wedding beautiful. From the decorations to the choice of wedding song, every element of a wedding adds to the experience.
A major component of a wedding is the venue. Not only does a venue help create a beautiful moment but it also sets the tone for the wedding. When guests walk into a wedding and take in their first glimpse of the venue, they see a reflection of the couple’s love. A wedding venue should reflect the couple’s style and love.
Hardy Farm is committed to helping couples make their wedding-day dreams come true, and the venue has a lot to offer. Hardy Farm was part of a land grant in the Massachusetts Bay Colony from the King of England to the Hardy family, who held the property for ten generations. Today, the venue is owned and operated by Greg and Deborah Link, who started using the property as a bed & breakfast before switching it to a wedding venue. Since the transformation, Hardy Farm has served hundreds of people with their wedding needs.
“My husband and I got married here this past June and it was a dream! Our favorite thing about the weekend was having so much room to have our closest friends and family stay for the entire weekend. This made the wedding fun last so much longer. Deborah and Greg Link were wonderful to work with throughout the way,” said Morgan Potvin, in a testimonial.
Maine is known for more than its famous lobster rolls and lighthouses. With so much landscape, people near and far visit Maine for its beautiful scenery. Hardy Farm is a popular venue thanks to its mountain-top views that offer a rare opportunity for couples to capture breathtaking pictures.
Hardy Farm has a variety of different venue options for couples to choose from. The site offers a wedding barn and woodland chapel for the perfect wedding. Based on the guest size and the style they’re going for, couples can decide between the two. Deborah told us the venue is the busiest and usually booked for weddings from May to October. Hardy Farm can host up to 185 people in its beautiful chapel.
Destination weddings are another big thing that Hardy Farm does. Deborah said that Hardy Farm has hosted people who have traveled from as far as Australia and as close as New England. Hardy Farm offers a three-day destination wedding package that helps accommodate guests with lodging, food, and wedding needs.
Deborah told us that the starting booking rate for couples is $9,500. This price gives couples access to a valuable venue that will make any wedding a memorable one!
“Such a beautiful venue and incredibly helpful staff! We got married here last fall and were planning from out of state. Greg and Deborah were so attentive and helpful while coordinating before the wedding weekend and Jack was a rockstar supporting us during the wedding weekend!” said Gabby Taylor in a testimonial.
Hardy Farm hosts different weddings of varying size. Some people go to Hardy Farm to elope while others use its services for a grand wedding. Regardless of the size or reason, the Hardy Farm team is dedicated to helping you every step of the way. From start to finish, the team ensures that your wedding at Hardy Farm will be smooth sailing.
As we all know, weddings can be very stressful with all the preparation that it entails. That’s why every wedding at Hardy Farm comes with an event manager. This helps couples with the wedding process and allows them to focus on different preparations needed for the wedding.
“The great thing about our place is it evokes sharing and coming together in different spaces for everybody to enjoy. We help create new memories and bring together people for a special occasion,” said Deborah.
Hardy Farm is the perfect venue for elopements and micro weddings. Couples who want to keep their wedding ceremony simple can get a one-hour package that allows them to exchange their vows in a private affair. This package, which costs $1,250, includes an officiant and the couple’s choice of ceremony location. Afterward, couples can decide whether they want to spend the night in one of Hardy Farm’s luxurious lodges.
Every couple wants to have a personalized wedding experience. It makes for a much more enjoyable and special moment for the happy couple. The Hardy Farm team works diligently to help guests get the wedding experience they want. Deborah told us she and her team take pride in remaining flexible for their guests and offering DIY services for brides.
“When we first meet with new couples we try to figure out what inspired them. What kind of an inspiration they have as far as what their expectation is for their wedding is and their vision,” Deborah told us. “When people come on the property, I try to let them explore the venue and just capture what their vision is for what they want their day to look like.”
Hardy Farm will continue to help couples make their big days special. Although wedding services aren’t available during the winter, couples can plan for a nice getaway at Hardy Farms. The site’s lodging services are open year-round and offer a wonderful winter experience. During the off-season, the top of the mountain is also a great location for wedding proposals.
Partnerships are very important to the Hardy Farm team, and not just the romantic ones. Although the team welcomes guests to do as they will, they also offer recommendations on guest activities and vendors, including catering services. Deborah said Hardy Farm has developed great relationships with different vendors around the area. The Hardy Farm team has a pre-approved list of caterers available to share with couples after they book with them.
“We have had the pleasure of working at Hardy Farm on several occasions to cater some beautiful weddings. The venue is beautiful, the staff is super helpful and friendly. Working with the owners Deborah & Greg is always a pleasure. It is obvious that they love what they do and that they care about their clients, ensuring they have a memorable experience. They also make sure the vendors are set up well to do their jobs which is very much appreciated,” said The White Apron in a review.
