Reader Question:
I met this woman eight months ago. Ever since the first meeting, we have been able to talk for hours on end.
I asked our mutual friend about her and he told me she had an awful breakup. Knowing this, I thought I would take it slow, since she probably wasn’t feeling like jumping back into dating again.
Is this the right way to play this?

Pretty much. Just remember one important thing: There’s a difference between taking it slow versus being nice and never making a move.
If you take it slow and do it properly, you should be good to go. She should know you’re interested but respectful. If you interpret taking it slow as just being a friend, you may find yourself cornered into the friend zone.
