The Short Version: Over the years, in both his personal and professional life, Peter Kowalke has witnessed many people settling for mediocre relationships. He founded Kowalke Relationship Coaching with a mission to transform these humdrum bonds into the kind that are thought to only take place in movies. With a customized process grounded in philosophy and psychology, Peter and his team help build relationships that exude positive energy and have a healthy dose of romance. If you’re tired of just going through the motions, Kowalke Relationship Coaching can put you on the path to cultivating a deeper connection with the one you love.

If you find yourself exhausted after what should have been an easy, relaxing hike, hiring a personal trainer might be the next logical step if you want to get in shape. It’s similar to an entrepreneur looking at quarter after quarter of bad returns and recognizing the need to bring in consultants to help boost business.

Relationships are no different. Sometimes we need a coach to walk us through the reasons why bonds with our partners don’t have all the components that we often see on the silver screen. Peter Kowalke, Founder of Kowalke Relationship Coaching, understands that maintaining excitement in relationships is hard work but it’s integral to leading happy, successful lives.

Peter Kowalke and his team help couples build strategies to strengthen connections.

“When we don’t have those relationships, we have something missing inside of us,” he said. “We may have a great career, we may have everything else working, but if we don’t have that deep connection with other people, something is really missing.”

Peter has developed an approach to coaching that’s rooted in philosophy, psychology, and his life experiences, which works to help clients understand themselves, their partner’s expectations, and transform a mundane relationship into one full of vigor and lasting romance.

An Approach Based on Psychology, Philosophy & Experience

Based in San Francisco and Bangkok, Kowalke Relationship Coaching is, in short, love training. Much like athletic and career skills, the ways we bond with others also need honing.

Sure, the perfect couples we see in movies are based in fiction, but Peter said these types of relationships are attainable. Couples simply have to be willing to commit to positive change to foster growth — both individually and together.

Peter built his company’s model around the wisdom of ancient Eastern and Western philosophy. He and his team draw heavily from Buddhism, Vedanta, Christianity, and other time-tested systems, and they marry them with modern psychological applications to help people find real love and build on it.

It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. Rather, Kowalke Relationship Coaching individualizes the experience, giving genuine advice that is insightful and applicable to your relationship. Peter and the other experts, who work with clients face to face and via Skype, adjust routines and make new ones that support the particular topics being addressed.

“Knowing is not enough,” Peter said. “There’s plenty of great knowledge out there. It really has to do with habits that are limiting us. There are many habits that we had when we were younger that we haven’t adjusted as we’ve gotten older. It’s that which limits us in our relationships today.”

Relationship Training That Puts Sound Principles Into Practice

Taking good relationships and making them better is what the Kowalke team prides itself on. Coaching is personalized and built specifically around the client. As a result, Peter said, success is largely up to the level of commitment clients bring to the process.

Coaching begins with what Peter calls a Discovery Phase. In Discovery, you’ll learn from your relationship coach the fundamentals of positive, loving relationships and set goals and specific metrics for tracking your progress.

Next, you start the Training Phase. Here, you and your partner work through customized exercises to help develop the right mindset and habits to form a loving bond and clear away limiting relationship beliefs. Your coach will fine-tune these exercises as time goes by to ensure that your training evolves with your relationship.

The third phase is Integration. In this phase, your coaching is expanded to include some of the team’s other coaches to lend additional insights into the issues or barriers in your relationship. In Integration, you start to see what was once labor turn into automatic responses, bringing you to the relationship you most desire.

The final phase is Maintenance. Active work slows as you do spot-checks now and then with your coach. Maintenance appointments ensure you continue to grow your relationship in the right direction and deal with concerns as they arise. Most of this phase is self-directed, but Kowalke’s team is just a call away when you need a little coaching through life’s harder moments.

Culture-Specific Coaching Built for the Modern Indian Couple

For relationships with cultural foundations, Kowalke Relationship Coaching features a bespoke program for Indian couples who want to make a marriage that pleases their families but also gives them the romantic love they desire. The company’s Indian Coaching Services marry these two pillars to speak to tradition while giving couples the tools they need to succeed in the modern world.

For more than 20 years, Kowalke Relationship Coaching has blended Indian family values with Western romantic tradition to create relationship counseling focused on what Peter calls “timeless truths.” By working in the US and India with NRIs and Indian nationals, Peter’s team has learned how to help couples facing a multitude of problems.

Kowalke Relationship Coaching understands the relationship challenges modern Indian couples face and offers a program specific to them.

This coaching option is an effective way for couples of Indian descent to learn how to transform an arranged marriage into one based on love. Couples also benefit from learning how to recreate romance if the spark goes out and address relationships with in-laws. No challenge is too daunting at Kowalke Relationship Coaching because the team offers a comprehensive support network.

Keep Your Relationship Top of Mind Thanks to Kowalke

And, on the near horizon, Peter plans to release a series of webinars to further his cause. “People can log on, see us real time, and even talk to me directly,” he said.
