Founded in 2011, LoveByte.us is the brainchild of Steve Sng, who often experienced his own frustrations while being in a relationship.

From misunderstandings to missed calls, Sng knew he couldn’t be the only one going through this. He knew his relationship and the relationships of others could benefit from a service that makes connecting easier.

Thus, LoveByte was born.

“Understanding that every relationship has its ups and downs, Steve wanted to improve communication and foster understanding between them,” said Amelia Chen, Chief Happiness Office of LoveByte. “Needless to say, it helped to reduce the cold wars and strengthened their relationship.”

And with more than 800,000 users, it’s easy to see that LoveByte works.

As a small Singapore-based startup with a team of four (two developers, a designer and a marketer), what LoveByte has already accomplished is truly impressive, but that doesn’t mean they’re slowing down any time soon.

The latest feature they’re most proud of is Secret Message, which allows couples to rub the screen like a scratchcard to reveal notes, ideas and photos in a private and fun way.
