I was excited to give KinkyPeopleMeet a chance and see what it could do for a a grown-up gal who’s not afraid of some raunchy content. As the name not-so-subtly hints, KinkyPeopleMeet is in business to serve kinksters seeking sext messages and IRL hookups. I joined with a pretty bare profile, but it still got traction. My profile got hundreds of views, and the messages were just as spicy as I’d expected. Besides an initial hang-up with the profile verification system, I found KinkyPeopleMeet easy to use and quick to provide an X-rated dating experience.

Sex-positive dating sites can be hit or miss. The good ones let adults gather in a sexy chat room and post naughty photos and videos. The bad ones offer a lot of temptation in the swipe lists, but no actual people send messages.

The only way to tell which is which, of course, is to dive into the swiping waters. And that’s what I did when I set up an account on KinkyPeopleMeet, a sex dating site for people with particular proclivities and sexual interests.

I wanted to see what this kink-positive community is about and what the browsing experience is like for an open-minded woman. Many sex-focused sites tend to be male-dominated, so I was curious how KinkyPeopleMeet would balance the experience.

Getting Started on KinkyPeopleMeet

When I first got to the homepage, I was interested to note that the image carousel of profile pictures was all female. Perhaps that’s meant as a positive sign that hot women actually use KinkyPeopleMeet.

I couldn’t help but think this suggested the site cares more about attracting straight male users than anything else.

KinkyPeopleMeet advertised its busty female users to me before I even signed up.

While the homepage raised my guard a bit, I was still excited to dive into the site!

Step 1: Basic Information

The signup process is very straightforward and painless. The whole thing took me 3 minutes.

First, I was asked my gender: male, female, or couple. I could click More Options to see a list of gender-fluid, trans, and queer options.

I was then asked my age, country, and ZIP code. Simple enough. After that, I put in my email.

Step 2: Upload a Profile Photo and Create a Username

Next, I was prompted to add photos and choose a username.

KinkyPeopleMeet profile
KinkyPeopleMeet makes it super easy to add photos and a custom username.

I went with a classic selfie, nothing too edgy, and used my first name and a few numbers for the username.

Some people added spicy photos to their profiles or got creative with their usernames. A man who identified himself as “Bottomsup69” had a photo that didn’t show his face but included a good deal of his naked body.

I saw others who went a more tame route like I did. Everyone has a different comfort level, and the good thing about KinkyPeopleMeet is that it offers a Naughty Meter where you can rate yourself on a spectrum from vanilla to freaky. I found that very helpful.

Step 3: Filling Out Profile Prompts

Once I had profile photos and a username set up, it was time for me to add a bit more personality to my profile.

First off, I was given prompts about what I do for fun. The options were almost comically varied. I could add that I enjoy “stand-up comedy” as well as “threesomes” or “affairs.” I get that all of those might be fun for someone, but I’m just not sure I’d put them in the same category of activity.

KinkyPeopleMeet tags
I could skip the sections if I wanted to keep my profile sparse.

I was prompted to add my ethnicity and my body type — average, athletic, stocky, a few extra pounds, or slim. I don’t love broadcasting my body type for the internet, so I left that blank.

That was the end of the “About you” section. No bio, no education, and notably, nowhere to get into detail about sexual interests. I found that curious.

There was, however, another section to add what you’re looking for. But I found this, too, to be surprisingly barren, even when it comes to specific sexual interests.

I was able to fill out my desired age range, which makes sense, as well as preferred body types and ethnicities.

I was also able to select my desired gender, including “women,” “men,” “couples,” and “nonbinary” or (their language, not mine) “transsexuals.”

I could search by income, profession, and religion. I left all that blank to start out. What most interested me was the ability to choose to only view profiles with photos, those who are online now, and verified members.

I could also specify a search radius. I’m not interested in seeing blank profiles, especially if they’re 100 miles away, so those filters saved scrolling time.

Step 4: Fill Out Additional Profile Questions

When I came to what I thought was the end of the profile creation process, I couldn’t help thinking, That’s it? But once I opened the main user site page, I saw a pop-up that assured me there was more to do to complete my profile.

In fact, KinkyPeopleMeet had 13 additional profile questions.

Finish profile: 13 questions to complete your profile
Once my profile was live, I was able to fill out more profile questions to fill it out further.

Next I was prompted to share the types of experiences I was looking for, my living arrangements, my willingness to travel, and my “level of play” (from “conservative” to “webcam romps” to “sex and maybe more”). All important questions for a sex site!

I was then asked, again, what my body type is (I’m noticing a theme here), my hair and eye color, my race (again), my religious beliefs, which I found rather beside the point, the languages I speak, my income range, my profession, and the big one: My marital status.

I still think there could be more information, and that the information requested was strangely ordered. But it’s better than nothing.

Please fill out "Tell Us About Yourself"
It took some time, but I was pretty happy with how my profile turned out.

Finally, I was prompted to add a bit about myself. I was pleased that this was an option, but perplexed that it hadn’t come up sooner. It was also skippable.

I guess most people who join KinkyPeopleMeet aren’t all that eager to write a paragraph about themselves.

Step 5: Complete Age Verification

Signing up for KinkyPeopleMeet was a never-ending cycle of thinking my profile was complete… and then learning there was a whole new step.

The last hurdle was an age verification step.

Age Verification via Yoti
I thought my profile was finally ready…but then, I was prompted to verify my age.

I attempted to start browsing through members. But before I could do that, I was blocked: I needed to complete age verification.

While I’m all for keeping minors off dating platforms, this is usually something that happens before you’re able to fill out a profile. I was all ready to start jumping into the site, only to need to complete another step. I would have much preferred to complete this before filling out my profile, not after.

I went to KinkyPeopleMeet’s age verification site, Yoti. And while the page I was prompted to had links to explain their different methods for age verification, there was nowhere to actually complete the age verification process.

I figured out that you actually have to download their app and reach it through KinkyPeopleMeet’s browser page on your phone to access it. If you don’t have a smartphone, or like me, prefer to use your laptop, tough luck. I was, it’s safe to say, rather annoyed at this point.

I downloaded Yoti on my phone. It claimed that I would find a clickable button on the page that prompted me to use it, so I opened KinkyPeopleMeet on my phone. But there was no such button in sight.

I was completely blocked from using the platform, with seemingly no means of solving the issue. When I opened KinkyPeopleMeet at all, I was only given the option to log out or open Yoti, which wouldn’t integrate with the app.

I was out of ideas. I emailed customer support as a last-ditch effort.

When I came back to the site a few days later after emailing customer support, I was able to access the age verification portal. The actual verification took 3 attempts. Whether they fixed something or it just improved on its own is unclear. But safe to say: The whole situation was extremely frustrating.

Free Browsing

Once I actually got online, I found the interface to be pretty overwhelming. KinkyPeopleMeet has a lot of features.

The main page shows a feed of profiles who are currently online, a “daily spotlight” of a high-quality profile, a feed of social media-style posts, featured profiles, and a flirt center where you can post a message for all to see.

It even offers an AI profile section full of fake AI partners. It truly is a brave new world.

KinkyPeopleMeet main browsing page
KinkyPeopleMeet had so many features and profiles, I found it difficult to know where to start.

While it’s hard to know for sure, most of the profiles seemed real to me. I didn’t see any obvious red flags, and no one asked me for money to help their sick relatives.

The Search section had seven pages for browsing. These included Search Members, Most Popular, Browse, New Faces, Who’s Viewed Me, Online Now, and Mood Statuses. The Browse area had a list of states, countries, and regions from Alabama to Yemen, and it sorted members by location.

I like the Online Now space because it feels more immediate and actionable.

I could narrow profiles by popularity, age, race, and body type. These were the same preferences I filled out upon signup, so some were automatically adjusted to what I’d stated earlier.

KinkyPeopleMeet's online now section
I set a wide age range, but most of the users I saw were between 30 and 55 years old.

The Most Popular page had filters by age, race, and body type, but applying these required credits. Members can earn credits by being active or pay for a bundle of credits (more on that later).

Scrolling through the list of popular profiles was free, but not all of them fit my type, so it was a bit of a random drawing. At least they all had plenty of photos up. Many had at least 10 pictures, and a couple of them had added over 100 images to their profiles.

Most Popular profiles
I was able to search based on specific attributes I wanted.

For the voyeur in us all, KinkyPeopleMeet also has many video chat rooms. While these tend to skew towards sex, some of the chat rooms focus more on platonic interests. I saw chat rooms for travel and for foodies. These are pay-to-play sections, so not just anybody can enter.

Likes and Matches

Shortly after I joined KinkyPeopleMeet, my profile started collecting likes. The site notified me about every like and view coming my way. Those notifications were a constant reminder that people are active here. I ended up with 112 likes in less than a week.

KinkyPeopleMeet doesn’t require mutual matching to unlock chat windows, but it does have a Tinder-like swipe game in the Match tab. I could go there to send out likes and see if I got any interest in return.

The Match Game
The Match Game is a quick way to spark interest on the site.

I could also unlock perks on the site by sending more likes. If I completed a Streak (by liking three profiles), I would earn rewards such as a visibility boost or Stealth Mode. A valid photo is required to play the Match game.

The Q&A game was similar, but instead of liking or passing on photos, I was responding to a profile’s icebreaker question like: “Do you like to play things safe in the bedroom at first?”

What I Like so Far

I like the quality of profiles on KinkyPeopleMeet. Most profiles have clear photos and seem genuine.

I like that I can see who’s viewed my profile without having to pay.

I like that the search filters include body type, kinks, and physical traits.

I like that I can see who’s online. It makes it easier to find someone to chat with fast instead of waiting days for them to get back to you.

What I Don’t Like so Far

I really don’t like the signup process. I kept thinking I was done, and then a pop-up would ask me to add more details. Thank goodness there were skip buttons! A more streamlined process for completing profiles would be helpful here.

I truly hope the team irons out that verification bug because waiting days to get a profile working isn’t ideal for someone seeking instant gratification.

I don’t like the site layout. There’s too much going on, making it hard to focus on a single match.

I don’t like the site’s lack of nuance around gender. I wasn’t aware that the word “transexual” was still being used.

KinkyPeopleMeet is a free site. That means you can use the entirety of it for free.

You can, however, pay for some more à la carte upgrades, like getting additional credits to access video chat rooms or boost your profile visibility.

This flexible pay-as-you-go credit system is appealing if you’re in this for short-term fun. But if you think you might be sticking around KinkyPeopleMeet for a few months, you could get the Gold Member subscription for one month ($35.95/mo), six months ($11.65/mo), or one year ($9.99/mo).

It usually costs $19.95 to feature your profile, but when I looked to upgrade it was on sale for $9.97.

Featuring your profile makes sense if you’re struggling to find matches with a standard profile. With 112 likes, I didn’t really have that problem, so it wasn’t an appealing option to me.

I’d say paying for extra features would make a bigger difference for male profiles than female profiles, given the membership base skews more heavily male.

My profile got plenty of attention, and I earned enough credits by being active on the site, so I didn’t feel a need to pay for the extras.

My Messaging Experience

I thought I’d be pelted with creepy come-ons as soon as my photo went up on KinkyPeopleMeet, but, to my pleasant surprise, that wasn’t the case. People were pretty decent and respectful in their messages. Many started with a simple “hello there.”

KinkyPeopleMeet messages
The messages I received were flirty but stayed within bounds.

I received several messages in the first few days of having my profile up, and they were largely in line with what I see on mainstream apps. Some did have a more flirtatious tone that was in keeping with the nature of the site.

I think the naughtiest opening line I got was “Wanna play?” followed up the next day by “Wanna f*ck?” Pretty tame, if you ask me. One user just wrote “Gorgeous,” while another said “Nice pic btw.”

I appreciated that KinkyPeopleMeet had a feedback option that asked me to rate messages as Nice or Rude. There was a video call button as well as private photo sharing.

If I ever felt tongue-tied, I could use the AI icebreaker to write a response for me. The tool would defer to my comfort level on how spicy I wanted to be. An automated “Sorry, busy now, maybe later :)” message was also an option if I set my status to “Busy.”

When it comes to sex-positive sites, I’m always hyper-aware of how respectful the messages are. I was pleased to find that on KinkyPeopleMeet, I felt safe.

Pros & Cons

No hookup site is perfect. There was a lot to like about KinkyPeopleMeet, once I was actually able to use my profile. But I did see some defects and room for improvement as well.

Pros

  • Many filters for appearance and desires
  • Users are active and flirty
  • Authentic profiles, no obvious fakes
  • Profiles have a “Naughty Meter” to set the tone & ensure sexual compatibility

Cons

  • Constant popups to add more to my profile
  • Age verification system glitched on me
  • Paywalls on video chat rooms

Many of the profiles I saw seemed genuine and like good options for any adults seeking sexual escapades.

The signup process was the one big annoyance for me. It seemed like every time I logged in, there was a new section I had to complete to “finish my profile.” I appreciate that KinkyPeopleMeet encourages members to complete everything, but the multiple pop-up reminders felt like a bit much to me.

My Verdict: It’s Good for Casual Voyeurism

KinkyPeopleMeet is a uniquely sexy website where fetishes are front and center. It appeals to a particular type of sex seeker on the internet. The gender ratio is skewed toward men (65% of members are men), but earning credits to gain more visibility and perks could even the playing field.

Ultimately, I’m coming down in favor of KinkyPeopleMeet as a casual dating excursion. Adult content was everywhere, profiles seemed active and genuine, and the kink filters made it easy to find like-minded connections.

I liked that it was anonymous and yet safety-conscious. Even if that random verification glitch gave me a headache, I’d rather see a site trying to stop underage people and catfish than letting anyone with an email address come on in.

If you’re feeling flirty, sexy, and maybe a bit horny, KinkyPeopleMeet has quick options to get you into the action and meet local hotties via online chat or video.
