Women's Dating
Women today hold high hopes for their dream man: “He’s smart, wealthy, athletic, sensitive, good looking, funny…”
The list goes on and on and on.
But, the truth is, it is impossible to find a human who is the full package. It’s more like he has one dominant trait and a couple other delicious pieces in his personality.
Here are a few general schemas of men. Most likely his dominant trait will fall into one of these categories:
This guy always has his Blackberry, laptop or the latest “Economist” in hand. He works hard and lives an upscale lifestyle.
If you marry him, chances are you won’t be worrying about finances or handling them, but you may suffer from less face-to-face time with the husband, who doesn’t have the spare time to coach soccer or drive carpool.
This one is quite mechanical. From home repairs to car mechanics, you never have to call a handyman. He’s a hands-on man and is always tinkering away at small projects.
The downside to this man is he may not be the breadwinner, if that’s what you’re looking for, but he will be a hands-on dad.
“Don’t doubt he’ll make a
great husband and father, too.”
You can sniff out a thinker from a two-minute conversation. This man is intellectual. He’s a thoughtful planner and a good decision-maker.
On the downside, he may not live a very spontaneous life. If curiosity and intelligent conversations are not your cup a tea, you may want to avoid this guy.
Bonus: He is probably a great financial partner and willing to help the kids out with their science projects.
This man is a great lover and a great caretaker. If you want a man who can cook, clean and nurture, he’s the one. He’s happy to take care of you, whether you’ve got the flu or just like to be catered to occasionally.
He might be a nurse, a paramedic, a firefighter. Don’t doubt he’ll make a great husband and father too, just not if you think a caregiver is equivalent to a man who spoils you.
We’ve all spotted this guy before. He’s dressed to the nines and may even make you self-conscious about your outfit. He’ll join you for a mani/pedi and eyebrow waxing and makes great eye candy.
You’ll be fighting for bathroom time in the mornings with him and he may be so caught up in his appearance that baby barf on his Armani suit might send him into a tizzy.
And that’s it! Those are the main types of men that you’ll find in the dating scene. Which is your type?
