Reader Question:

I am having a hard time getting women to reply. If they do, they are simply not interested. I have been on Match.com and it’s the pits. What are the best ones to be on?

-Mike (Oklahoma)

Gina Stewart’s Answer:

The site you’re on does make a difference. Match is your pretty generic, go-to online dating juggernaut for online dating. Other sites have an advantage when they appeal to a less generic brand of audience.

For example, if there is a certain niche you’re a part of or interested in, there is probably a dating site for that and you can find traction with people who already share your lifestyle/interest in a certain subject.

You should also assess what you’re looking for in a relationship because different sites seem to attract different types of daters.

Are you more casual/hookup oriented? Try POF.com or Zoosk. For more serious relationships, try eHarmony. In between could be something more like OkCupid.
