Text messages

should be used to send a quick communique, a brief note or ask an easily answered question. They are NOT to be used to request naked pictures, send naked pictures or to encourage lewd behavior, sexual encounters or “sexting.”

Here’s what you SHOULD be saying in texts to a girl you like, which will have a positive effect on your relationship:

  • “I miss you.”
  • “I’m thinking about you.”
  • “I hope you’re enjoying your day.”
  • “I love you.”
  • “I sure had fun last night.”
  • “Would you like to meet up tonight for dinner?”

THESE are appropriate texts.

Likewise, text messages should not be used in the place of conversation. If you are having problems in your relationship, don’t try to work them out over a series of long-winded text messages.

As a rule, remember the acronym “KISS” (keep it simple silly). Only send text positive messages that are brief and to the point.
