SawYouAtSinai was created by Marc in 2003, and he told us it all started with a midlife crisis he had at 34.

“[Mark was] still single and decided he had to be working on a project that had a clear and distinct impact on the Jewish singles’ community,” she said. “So he left the corporate world, where he was a management consultant on Wall Street, to create the ultimate online matchmaking network.”

Rather than swiping right and connecting on a surface level or spending hours reading profiles, you’ll go through a different process on SawYouAtSinai. When you decide you are ready to find your match, you can register by filling out a comprehensive profile, which includes information about your religious background, lifestyle, interests, and references.

All members also complete a description of themselves and what they’re looking for in a life partner. SawYouAtSinai then chooses two matchmakers based on your age, location, and religious orientation. These Shadchan will be the ones screening your potential matches.
