Mimeo Photos Helps Couples Print Photo Gifts of Their Relationship Milestones

The Mimeo Photos team jumped into action to ensure the client would receive it in time. They reprinted the book and overnight mailed it to his house — just in time for his annual holiday tradition.

Mimeo Photos grew out of a parent company that printed materials exclusively for Apple users, but the company recently expanded beyond macOS.

“Everyone knows that Apple products are quality, and they’re designed for people who care about premium products,” Allie said.

In 2017, Mimeo created a direct-to-user photo printing app that allowed people to design their own projects. Mimeo Photos was initially available as a Mac app extension, so only those with Mac desktops and laptops could create projects.

Mimeo Photos launched its web interface in the summer of 2020, and now, anyone with an internet connection can design an array of high-quality products.

“Photobooks are our bread and butter. They’re absolutely gorgeous,” Allie said.

“Say a husband is giving his wife a photobook about her pregnancy. He could write a sentimental note in the front cover of the dust jacket. Or he could personalize the spine of the book,” Allie said.

“I’ve seen people print photography, and I’ve seen them print family photos,” Allie said.

“I had one made for my son. The pieces are larger, so it’s easier for them. If we go back into lockdown, at least we have something to keep ourselves entertained,” Allie said.

2020 has been a busy year for Mimeo Photos — for many reasons. Not only has the company expanded its platform, but it has also rolled out more photo project options than ever before.
