The Short Version: Dating is all about knowing where to go to wow that someone special and create a lasting memory. Easier said than done, right? Sometimes couples fall into a dinner-and-movie rut and need a little inspiration to spice up their love lives. That’s where Orlando Date Night Guide comes in. This fantastic local resource recommends the best date activities and events taking place throughout Central Florida. You can browse the fun articles to discover new pubs, eateries, parks, and other venues ideal for any intimate evening. Community-oriented couples can even sign up to give back together at volunteer events sponsored by Do Good Date Night. No matter what your budget, interests, or tastes, you can set yourself up for romantic success in the City Beautiful by checking out Orlando Date Night Guide.

Kristen Manieri and her husband Marc moved to Orlando in 2006. They were newlyweds who had no children and a lot of free time to explore the city together. They spent many evenings dining out, taking in shows, and enjoying all the sights, tastes, and sounds the city had to offer couples. They loved finding hidden gems and recommending little-known date spots to their friends.

Over time, the couple realized they had a great opportunity to share their knowledge and inspire Floridians to find romance in the City Beautiful. So Kristen created a website called OrlandoDateNightGuide.com where she could spread the word about delicious, affordable, charitable, and other engaging date activities in town.

Orlando resident Kristen Manieri started Orlando Date Night Guide to help couples enjoy the best the city has to offer.

“Orlando Date Night Guide started as a true passion project,” Kristen told us. “Even after 10 years, I still love what I do.”

In 2017, Kristen launched date night guides for Tampa, Florida, and Asheville, North Carolina. She said she is happy with the pace at which she’s been able to grow her company and has long-term plans to expand to serve cities across the country. “I’m committed to growing, but I’m not striving for it,” she told us. “It’s all happening very naturally.”

Kristen also runs a general Date Night Guide website where anyone can find stuff to see and do in the US, Canada, and abroad. The articles list date ideas, including relaxing staycations, to assist any couple looking for fun things to do together. The app version of the national site is currently being beta-tested. Its free features will include access to restaurant recommendations, an event calendar, premium deals, and news updates from the Date Night Guide team. The app is currently for Orlando only.

A handful of talented editors and contributing writers make Date Night Guide’s love-oriented resources stand out — each article reads like a personal conversation with a friend gabbing about his or her favorite local spots. The personable tone and stellar date suggestions are what keeps thousands of readers entertained, interested, and hungry for more.

A Fun Local Resource Sees 50,000+ Unique Readers

Orlando Date Night Guide is a popular resource for locals seeking excitement and romance. Over 50,000 unique readers regularly use the website to brainstorm date ideas and plan an extraordinary night out with that special someone. Altogether, the site boasts 1.6 million annual pageviews. Unsurprisingly, nearly all of the traffic comes from Orlando.

While the articles are location-specific, the recommendations range from wine tastings to basketball games. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a Magic fan, you can find tons of quality date ideas to make your time with your significant other more special. You can browse the guide by categories, which include things to do, events, cheap/free, eats, drinks, getaways, do good, and girls night out. This site is a must-read if you live in O-Town and want to impress your date with how well you know the city and its many attractions.

“This has always been about loving what I do,” Kristen said, “and sharing the city I love with anyone who may be interested.”

Thousands of articles on OrlandoDateNightGuide.com highlight dance clubs, taco stands, burger joints, movie theaters, public parks, and other unforgettable date venues for people with a variety of interests and budgets.

“While the traffic and the social media growth has been wonderful,” Kristen said, “this has always been about loving what I do and sharing the city I love with anyone who may be interested.”

Kristen told us she never gets tired of exploring new places to go and sharing date night recommendations with couples. She promotes romance, friendship, and fun everywhere she can. In her spare time, she hosts a podcast called the Synced Life where she discusses the importance of human connection in our daily lives. She said she started the podcast “for fun, just because I can,” and she’s been having a blast talking with expert guests about subjects close to her heart.

“I marvel at the age that we live in,” she said. “Anyone with something useful to say can create a platform to share with others and to make an impact. I think it’s quite amazing, and I see the possibilities as limitless.”

Do Good Date Night: Inspiring Charitable Couples to Give Back

Since its launch in 2006, Orlando Date Night Guide has hosted 50 events throughout the city, and 16 of those have been charitable efforts in partnership with nonprofit organizations — including the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Goodwill, Clean the World, and Habitat for Humanity.

During a Do Good Date Night event, couples packed 9,504 meals for Feeding Children Everywhere and raised money for 12,000 more.

Kristen said the idea for Do Good Date Night — which promotes charitable date night opportunities — came to her in 2015 when she saw her daughters participate in a charity event at school. Hundreds of students worked in an assembly line to create nonperishable meals for underprivileged children around the world.

“It looked like so much fun that the wheels in my head started turning,” she said, “and I wondered how I could create a similar experience for couples on date night.”

In September 2015, she launched Do Good Date Night and immediately landed herself on the front page of the Orlando Sentinel. The first event, catered by Swine & Sons, sold out with more than 40 couples coming together to do their part. To date, Do Good Date Night’s events have generated over 800 volunteer hours and inspired many couples to roll up their sleeves and get involved. What better way to bond than by changing the world together.

“We have definite momentum, and it’s fun to ride these waves,” Kristen said. “I’m really excited to see what this all looks like a year from now.”

Highlighting Opportunities for Romance Across the City

Orlando Date Night Guide is a local sensation with a loyal following of 17,000 email subscribers as well as 50,000 followers on social media. The team of writers aims to satisfy this diverse readership with a variety of slam-dunk date ideas, and they’ve gotten praise from all corners.

“You guys are fabulous,” said Jayme King, the Morning Meteorologist for Fox35. “Let’s just say that when I use the guide, things work out well for me.”

Whether you want to splurge on a fancy dinner or find a romantic spot on the cheap, Orlando Date Night Guide is there for you with spot-on recommendations.

“What we hear again and again is that people really appreciate how good our content is,” Kristen told us. “We truly have something for everyone.”

In addition to its fun content, Orlando Date Night Guide also prioritizes giving back to the community. Do Good Date Night has grown steadily over the years to make a positive impact on the lives of impoverished children and others in need.

Kristen said her site’s resources not only make it possible for people to do a good deed — it also helps create a local network of passionate people working toward common goals. Many friendships form as a result of the Do Good Date Night events.

“It’s like a matchmaking event to a certain extent,” she said. “These events really do provide a great opportunity to meet other couples. It’s really cute actually.”

Orlando Date Night Guide Can Help You Plan a Date in O-Town
