Kristen Manieri and her husband Marc moved to Orlando in 2006. They were newlyweds who had no children and a lot of free time to explore the city together. “Orlando Date Night Guide started as a true passion project,” Kristen told us. “Even after 10 years, I still love what I do.”

In 2017, Kristen launched date night guides for Tampa, Florida, and Asheville, North Carolina. She said she is happy with the pace at which she’s been able to grow her company and has long-term plans to expand to serve cities across the country. “I’m committed to growing, but I’m not striving for it,” she told us. “It’s all happening very naturally.”

“While the traffic and the social media growth has been wonderful,” Kristen said, “this has always been about loving what I do and sharing the city I love with anyone who may be interested.”

Kristen told us she never gets tired of exploring new places to go and sharing date night recommendations with couples. She promotes romance, friendship, and fun everywhere she can. In her spare time, she hosts a podcast called the Synced Life where she discusses the importance of human connection in our daily lives. She said she started the podcast “for fun, just because I can,” and she’s been having a blast talking with expert guests about subjects close to her heart.

“I marvel at the age that we live in,” she said. “Anyone with something useful to say can create a platform to share with others and to make an impact. I think it’s quite amazing, and I see the possibilities as limitless.”

“We have definite momentum, and it’s fun to ride these waves,” Kristen said. “I’m really excited to see what this all looks like a year from now.”

“It’s like a matchmaking event to a certain extent,” she said. “These events really do provide a great opportunity to meet other couples. It’s really cute actually.”
