With SetForMarriage, there is no questioning what the end goal is because everyone on the site wants to get married. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, SetForMarriage has become an even more effective resource for singles to connect with other people — making it possible for social interaction to exist within four walls. 

Finding a potential lifetime partner could normally take years. But when you surround yourself with the right people, it can take a couple of months. Brad said he heard the call to change the way online dating works after his friend’s experience with online dating.

Brad told us that going the matchmaking route may not give an accurate depiction of what singles need or want out of a relationship — a computer-generated match can miss the mark in important ways. 

“What we don’t want to do is force-feed or force spoon-feed people to you, ” Brad said. “Instead you’re able to browse the people around you and learn as much about them as possible. And then from there determine whether or not you want to meet in person.” 

SetForMarriage strongly believes that there is a special someone for everyone, and it doesn’t have to take rocket science to find them. The team prides itself on being strong advocates for marriage for everyone. “Marriage is awesome! It’s in everything we do and provide. We promise!” the team exclaimed.

Since SetForMarried doesn’t participate in any mathematical system to match people, the team had to get creative in how to connect singles. SetForMarriage uses Dynamic Interaction features that are similar to the features on popular social media sites. Brad and the SetForMarriage team maintain that sometimes finding a partner is about finding your opposite. It’s amazing that people often find themselves better suited for someone who is completely opposite from them. Making the saying, “opposites attract” not a myth after all. 

“I think there’s something to be said for opposites attracting and opposites working out. A lot of people want opposition. I haven’t met a lot of people that say ‘I want to marry my identical twin,’” Brad said. 

The question “are you set for marriage?” is commonly asked when joining SetForMarriage. The platform is not for singles who just want to date, have some fun, or find a temporary friend. Brad and the SetForMarriage team are dedicated to pioneering new ways to help relationship-ready singles meet and get married. In the coming year, the team plans to improve the app and add new features that tailor to the needs of members. 

When asked what advice he would give to new members, Brad said that patience is pivotal to have throughout the process. Singles never know when their special moment will come, but they don’t have to be alone in the journey. The SetForMarriage team is going to be there every step of the way. 

“Being truly authentic is the number one thing to do. Be yourself. Challenges can pop up later if you don’t. Step two is to really know and have an understanding of what you truly and ultimately want,” Brad said.
