The Short Version: Inner Bonding is an enlightened healing process developed by Dr. Margaret Paul and Dr. Erika Chopich. The six-step journey focuses on teaching people to recognize their damaging false beliefs and consciously strive to be more loving and generous souls. In the last 34 years, Dr. Margaret has written numerous books and designed coursework that taps into love and guides singles and couples toward their best life.

Dr. Margaret Paul has had a passion for psychology ever since she was 5 years old. She grew up in a dysfunctional family, so her mother took her to see a psychologist to help work through their issues.

At one point, Margaret remembers the psychologist saying “You need to tell your mother to stop yelling at you.”

Dr. Margaret Paul co-developed the Inner Bonding process to help people heal their hearts.

Margaret thought, “I’m only 5 years old, and she’s not going to listen to me. You tell her.” Young Margaret left the office thinking she could do a better job as a psychologist — so she did. She went on to earn her doctorate degree in psychology and worked as a traditional psychotherapist for 17 years.

As the years passed, Dr. Margaret wanted to delve deeper and create more lasting changes in people’s lives, so she began a spiritual path in search of answers. When she met Dr. Erika Chopich, everything clicked. The two psychologists combined their wisdom to create an impactful healing process now known as Inner Bonding.

In 1985, Dr. Margaret and Dr. Erika co-created Inner Bonding as a helpful resource for singles and couples willing to dig deep to overcome emotional and spiritual blockages. Today, Dr. Margaret teaches workshops, writes books, and works with clients to spread the word about Inner Bonding.

“I’m blessed to have this process in my life,” she said. “The Inner Bonding process can turn things around and change everything.”

A Spiritual Path to Challenge False Beliefs & Discover Truth

Clients turn to Dr. Margaret when they’re at some of their lowest lows, and she empowers them to soar to their highest highs. By using Inner Bonding principles as a guideline, she taps into the reasons behind their pain and guides them down a healing path in one-on-one consultations and workshops.

Recognizing your pain and taking ownership for your feelings is the first step in the Inner Bonding process. Singles and couples have to be aware of their intentions and emotions. They have to be present in themselves to understand how to handle loneliness, heartbreak, and grief.

The Inner Bonding process encourages people to check in with themselves and listen to what their bodies, their feelings, and their intuition are saying to them.

“We create a dialogue about how you’re treating yourself and what you’re doing to cause guilt or shame,” Dr. Margaret said. “You have to let the answer come from your feeling self.”

The Inner Bonding process is about getting in touch with your wounded self and your inner child and finding truth from within. Dr. Margaret prompts her clients to listen to the wisdom of their higher selves — some experience this as God, Buddha, or another higher power — and discover the strength to heal their hearts and transform their relationships.

When people listen to and understand their emotions, they can take loving action and express their needs to their partners in a healthy way.

Dr. Margaret told us the Inner Bonding process gets to the core of emotional issues, but it can take time for individuals to reprogram their brains to be open to love, truth, and wisdom.

“It’s very sad, but, in our culture, people often try to suppress feelings rather than learn from them,” she said. “Instead we need to listen to anything that’s less than peace inside us because that’s letting us know we’re off course.”

Books & Courses Convey a Healing Message

Throughout her career, Dr. Margaret has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds in one-on-one sessions over the phone or Skype. She has developed self-guided online courses to allow people to walk their own paths, and she has written several self-help books to help spread the word about Inner Bonding.

The Inner Bonding Workbook summarizes the six-step process and offers exercises and insights to help readers “connect with their divine guidance.” Readers can learn about themselves and feel the benefits of Inner Bonding as they take the lessons to heart.

Published in 2018, “Diet For Divine Connection” is about ridding yourself of junk food and junk thoughts all at once. Throughout this book, Dr. Margaret puts healing into practical terms and explains the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

“This book has been an answer to my prayers,” said Rae TR in an Amazon review. “Truly, my healing began the moment I opened to Dr. Paul’s first paragraph, and her work continues to impact me deeply.”

All of Dr. Margaret’s books promote mindfulness and support readers on a spiritual journey toward happiness, peace, and love.

“We need to start treating ourselves as someone we love,” Dr. Margaret said. “When people do the work and practice Inner Bonding, amazing things can happen.”

Those Who Practice Self-Care See Life-Changing Results

Inner Bonding helps people find their inner bliss by exploring, identifying, and correcting negative emotions. Inner Bonding has many success stories to its name, and Dr. Margaret said the clients who invest in the process often see a monumental difference in the quality of their relationships.

“By teaching us how to take full responsibility for ourselves in relationship, Inner Bonding helped us move from codependency toward real intimacy,” said Karen Kral in a testimonial. “Inner Bonding taught us how to recognize and then own and transform the things we have projected onto each other.”

Singer and songwriter Alanis Morissette has become a believer in Inner Bonding, saying, “I am grateful for this tool that encourages me to tune in and find the most loving steps to take on my own soul’s behalf. This process is of great nurturance to my artist.”

“Inner Bonding has helped us to love and care for ourselves.” — Sylvia Poareo and Sean Davidson, Inner Bonding clients

“The Inner Bonding work I’ve done both individually and as a couple has allowed me to recognize the beauty within me,” said Jeff Frymer in a testimonial. “Every relationship in my life blossomed and deepened as I continued to grow and learn to act from loving kindness.”

Dr. Margaret has positively impacted thousands of singles and couples over the years, and her work continues to inspire others to learn and grow.

“We create a safe space, and we’ve seen tremendous revelations,” she said. “This is an extremely powerful process that anyone can learn to do.”

Inner Bonding Leads to Lasting Peace of Mind, Heart & Body

Dr. Margaret has had a life-long passion for helping people work through trauma, and she told us she can’t imagine doing anything else with her life. Her experience as a non-traditional spiritual and nutritional psychologist now informs her deep spiritual work with singles and couples who face heartaches of all shapes and sizes.

Whether she’s giving hope to singles or strengthening the love between couples, Dr. Margaret cuts straight to the heart of people’s issues thanks to her signature Inner Bonding process. Anyone can become a member of the Inner Bonding community to start practicing self-care, learning about emotional issues, and getting in touch with the loving adult within.

“We teach people how to connect with their higher selves,” Dr. Margaret explained. “We all have the higher wisdom within us to experience true love and compassion, and we can learn to heal ourselves with the proper training.”
