As far as I am concerned, true love is blind. It knows no color, age or affliction. There is nothing taboo about falling in love with someone much older than you. Age is but a number, and if you and your man are OK with your age difference, that is all that matters.

Compatibility, mutual respect, and an ability to communicate and laugh together, in my opinion, have far more bearing on attraction than physical appearance or age. Nevertheless, when dating an older man, it is important to keep your motives in check. It is easy to be drawn to an older man because of the allure of security that comes with his financial stability and willingness to take care of you. You should always, always, always date a person for who they are – not what they can do for you.
