Online Dating
The Tinder mobile dating app began as an iPhone-only app rooted in Silicon Valley.
In the fall of 2012, Tinder took the online dating world by storm. It caught a lot of attention. Even former Miss USA Nana Meriwether’s Tinder profile was spotted, and the story went viral.
If a person single and gorgeous like Miss USA is using Tinder, should you possibly add it to your online dating arsenal as well?
For its first few months on the market, only if you had an iPhone could you use this trendy hot app while looking for love online.
I met two of the co-founders of Tinder, Sean Rad and Justin Mateen, and congratulated them on their success with their expansion this week to the Android platform.
The two shared that Tinder has a large number of success stories and even some engagements to their credit, so toss away the stigma your friends are telling you.
Tinder isn’t only for casual hookups!
Tinder isn’t just for iPhone users, and it has grown rapidly.
Rad told TechCrunch in 2013 that users have rated more than 7 billion profiles, with the app having served more than 100 million matches in all.
Not bad for a dating app that wasn’t on the radar only a year before.
“Tinder doesn’t appear to be
slowing down at all.”
If you haven’t downloaded the Tinder app yet, you may still have heard about its swiping approach. The app uses a “Hot or Not” approach. Tinder has become the hot social dating app and shows no sign of losing momentum.
Connecting with your Facebook profile, you can be matched with singles close to your proximity and in a split second, vote on them based upon how attractive they appear to you.
Mutual matches have the opportunity to connect, flirt, and even schedule a date offline.
While you might think this is a shallow approach to digital dating, mobile dating apps are here to stay, and both men and women have proven to be visual in their quest.
Tinder plans to expand internationally and doesn’t appear to be slowing down at all.
Are you using Tinder? Have you gone on a date using a mobile dating app?
