Moving from New Orleans to Las Vegas was supposed to be an exciting time for Kallie, but it was clouded by the fact that she was struggling to meet people (particularly for romance). She tried expanding her social circle through work and the local colleges (to no avail), so she turned to Yelpers for advice.

“I get along with everyone and can make anyone laugh… you’d think it would be easy,” Kallie wrote.

She received several responses that same day (with more to come) and even connected with people who were interested in getting together to eat at one of Vegas’ infamous buffets.

In addition to getting tips from Yelp users, like Kallie did, you can turn to us. We’ve rounded up 10 ways for single Las Vegans to take their love lives to the next level. Let’s get to it!

Las Vegas Dating Sites

Online dating has so much going for it that you’d be crazy not to try it. You have thousands of sites to choose from, you won’t have to spend anything, you can be as nitpicky as you want about your preferences, and you’re highly likely to have success. Plus one of my favorite reasons is you can find singles in your area without having to leave your house or trudge from bar to bar. Here are five dating sites that we can’t get enough of, and we’re sure you’ll feel the same way:

Think about it: You probably know someone, or know someone who knows someone, who’s found a match on the site. And, with a free membership, you’ve got nothing to lose!

2

Atomic Liquors

★★★★★ 4.9/5.0
917 Fremont St • Las Vegas, NV 89101 (702) 384-7371 Visit Website
Atomic Liquors

Atomic Liquors is known as "Las Vegas' Oldest Freestanding Bar" having been founded in the early 1900s and claiming "the first package liquor license and off-sales permit in the city." If you're into dive bars, craft beers, creative pub food, outdoor patios, and a Space Age style, you'll definitely be into Atomic Liquors. On the menu, you'll find mac and cheese bites, burgers, seafood, IPAs, barleywines, and stouts (among other things).

3

Bin 702 is famous for its charcuterie and cheese boards as well as mini sandwiches — all of which are made with the finest ingredients. Offerings include a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto Montadito and lobster grilled cheese. Bin 702 doesn't phone it in on the beer and wine either. The bar has numerous types and brands on tap and in bottles. Another thing that makes Bin 702 unique is that it was built out of two shipping containers (totaling 640 square feet) in 2013.

4

Bound

★★★★★ 4.7/5.0
3595 S Las Vegas Blvd • Las Vegas, NV (702) 777-3777 Visit Website

Located in the lobby of the Cromwell, Bound is an upscale circular bar that takes the Las Vegas "experience to a new level of class." Casa Fuente Cigar Lounge

Casa Fuente Cigar Lounge

Head to the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace, and that's where you'll find the Casa Fuente Cigar Lounge, which opened more than a decade ago. It's said to have the "best cigar selection in Las Vegas," and people on Yelp seem to agree. Dan. L. gave Casa Fuente five stars and commented, "Every single time I light up and smoke one of Arturo Fuente cigars, I am magically transported to what I imagine those tropical paradises would be like." In terms of libations, try the Casa Mojito, Spicy Lover, or Sensual Berri.

4475 Paradise Rd • Las Vegas, NV 89169 (702) 693-5000 Visit Website
Center Bar

The aptly named Center Bar is right in the middle of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and was recently upgraded to "indulge guests with a new contemporary twist." Mixed drinks include classics, like bellinis, as well as new concoctions like Pear of Aces. Manda Bear B. didn't have anything but good things to say about Center bar: "Nice layout, beautiful waitresses, white leather couches, divider in between, newly furnished, dim lighting, strong drinks, and good service."

7

The Chandelier

★★★★ 4.4/5.0
3708 Las Vegas Blvd • Las Vegas, NV (702) 698-7000 Visit Website
The Chandelier

The Chandelier will have you swinging from the chandelier just as Sia would want you to. Another Cosmopolitan staple, the Chandelier has two and a half levels (all with a different experience), a purple theme, and, of course, dozens of "shimmering, beaded curtains of light" hanging down all around. Some favorite drinks among patrons are the Forbidden Fruit, the Infinite Playlist, and the Fire-Breathing Dragon.

4

Las Vegas Speed Dating

Las Vegas Speed Dating

Forrest Gump said life is like a box of chocolates, but we think speed dating is also like a box of chocolates if you think about it. With dozens of attendees and different kinds of events to choose from, you never know what you’re going to get, who you’re going to meet, or how those encounters will play out. When you’re looking for speed dating in Las Vegas, the events held by Pre-Dating can’t be beat.

5

Las Vegas Singles Events

Las Vegas Singles Events

A Lock and Key event is a growing trend in the dating world. It starts off as a regular happy hour, but then men are given keys, while women are given locks. They’ll go around trying each key and lock until they’ve found the right match — or matches, as there are at least two or three in each group. Take some time getting to know the person, and then, if you’re interested, turn in your key or lock, or get a new one, and start again! This is just one example of a singles event that actually makes it fun to break the ice with a stranger.

6

Las Vegas Singles Clubs

Las Vegas Singles Clubs

I have no rhythm, so I’m not much of a club person. However, for those who have some actual moves, going to a club is a great way to not only show them off but attract people with them. Las Vegas is a club lover’s dream, and Thrillist has an awesome article that breaks down your options by price, music, location, hours, and what you can expect.

7

Las Vegas Chat Rooms

A lot of dating sites, like DateHookup listed below, also have chat rooms, so users have several different ways to communicate with each other. But then there are also straight-up chat rooms that have themed rooms to help you really zero in on your individual interests (e.g., lesbian women). You’ll encounter pros and cons of each, but the most efficient way to to figure out which will work best for you is to test out both dating sites and chat rooms. Registration is usually free, so you won’t be putting anything on the line until you’re ready.

8

Las Vegas Personals

A personal ad is just a traditional way of saying a dating profile. While it is a little more compact than a dating profile, a personal ad works in the same way. Typically, you’ll come up with a headline (such as Single Asian Male Seeks Fellow Las Vegas Native), provide details about your perfect date or partner, and post it online. While you’re waiting for people to reach out, you can browse personal ads and reach out on your own. We’ve picked five personals sites that have sections that cater to Las Vegas singles.

9

Head to the Strip & Check Out Some Casinos

Las Vegas wouldn’t be Las Vegas without the Strip, and an average 17,700 people are walking on it at any given hour on any given day. You’re practically bumping into people you could meet! Not to mention there are 31 casinos on the Strip, and that doesn’t include the ones that are just off it.

Photo of a Las Vegas casino

Walk along the Strip and play in a bunch of different casinos, and you’re basically guaranteed to meet people you can strike up a conversation with.

All you have to do is walk along the Strip and play in some of the casinos. You could tell the person watching the Bellagio fountain show that this is your first time seeing it (if it is) and ask them if they’ve seen it before. Or you could talk to the person playing slots next to you if they’ve won anything yet. Or whatever the case may be! Bring a friend with you because it’s always less awkward when you’ve got someone else around.

10

Check Out a Football Game or NASCAR Race

Las Vegas isn’t all about gambling — it’s also a huge sports hub. The Vegas Golden Knights (hockey), the Las Vegas 51s of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League (baseball), the University of Nevada Las Vegas football team, and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway all call Sin City home. Las Vegas also hosts the Las Vegas Bowl, an annual NCAA bowl game, the USA Sevens rugby tournament, the National Finals Rodeo, and the Professional Bull Riders World Finals.

Photo of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Las Vegas is home to a few sports teams and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, so head to a game and chat up some of your fellow fans.

If you’re an athlete and/or enjoy watching sports, go to a few games and come together with your fellow fans. Normally it’s not weird to have a discussion with the people next to you about who they think is going to win, how the rest of the season looks, and things like that.

With Almost 694,000 People & 40 Million+ Annual Visitors, Sin City is a Dating Mecca!

Kallie took matters into her own hands instead of just waiting for a compatible person to fall into her lap, and that’s a big part of having dating success. All it takes is putting yourself out there and making a little change to your routine — that special someone could pop up anywhere. You don’t have to go it alone, though. We’re here to help you every step of the way, starting with this list!
