Men's Dating
The Short Version: Many attractive, accomplished and well-educated women from Ukraine seek successful Western men for long-lasting relationships. They often make those connections through Possible, a matchmaking agency that gives international men and women the chance to get to know each other. Agency owner Natalie Koval and her team provide relationship coaching and matchmaking services to help clients stay optimistic and succeed in their search for romance.
Natalie Koval has been a matchmaker for more than 23 years, and she knows that single men and women often think they’ll find love. That’s why she named her matchmaking agency Possible, a word that embraces the attitude that anyone can find love no matter their situation or where they are in the world.
“If a person wants to have a match and a relationship, then anything is possible,” Natalie said. “I offer an optimistic search for love.”
Natalie has been matchmaking since she was a student in college. Back then, she did it for fun, mostly to help single foreign guys connect with Ukrainian women. Natalie soon realized she could make a career out of helping people change their lives for the better. That’s when she became a professional matchmaker.
She said that both men and women often self-sabotage their own efforts to find someone. That’s why she and her team use psychology to help singles address their stereotypes and wrong beliefs so they can be prepared for love.
The comprehensive agency is a one-stop shop for anyone interested in international dating. Possible connects clients with people who share their values and goals, and Natalie helps singles look and feel their best for the dating experience. The agency can even take care of the logistics that come with meeting someone attractive who happens to live in another country.
“The psychological approach is very important,” she said. “The world outside the person reflects the world inside the person. I help my clients analyze those important things that are blocking their love and help them deal with them.”
Natalie is the agency’s primary matchmaker, and her team includes experts who prepare singles to meet someone special. Possible has a psychologist who specializes in working with women as well as another psychologist who focuses on men. The professionals will interview each client before matching to thoroughly understand what each person wants and needs.
The team also includes a website developer, YouTube creative professionals, and a customer service manager who ensures everyone is satisfied with the process.
Natalie said the team is so thorough that the initial interview can last a few hours.
“The key is to find out their values, goals, and the expectations for the relationship — and that takes time. Then, I suggest the matches,” she said.
Unlike many international dating agencies, Natalie charges both men and women for her services. She has the women pay to ensure they are interested in genuine, long-term relationships rather than just fun dates with foreign men.
Natalie works exclusively with women from the Ukraine, although some may be living in other countries at the time. The women typically range in age from under 30 to 45, but she also works with older women.
The men she works with come from English-speaking countries, primarily the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom as well as from Western Europe: the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Norway. The majority are between the ages of 35 and 55.
After the initial interview, Natalie said she starts recommending matches for her clients. The process is different for men and women, and can vary based on individual needs or desires.
Men often enjoy looking at pictures to determine who they like. That’s because physical attraction is especially important for men. Singles can search to create a short list of people who are interesting and worthy of scheduling a meeting with.
“Some guys just want me to pick one girl, and others want to meet many people or a narrow group,” she said. “My job as a matchmaker is to understand the client and what volume of communication he can handle and provide that for him.”
But before the meeting, some potential clients need a little extra guidance. Natalie said her team stands ready to help.
“The way they fail is important, and the way they win is important. What are the major obstacles for them to start relations?” Natalie said. “My psychologist is there to do personal coaching on different emotional matters that might be an issue for a guy or a girl.”
It may be necessary for the singles to work with a personal stylist to improve their image. Possible may help with tips for better video dates or assist with professional photos to share with prospective matches. Natalie helps with all of that — and in many more areas.
Clients can also meet with Possible representatives wherever makes the most sense. Often, men fly to Ukraine, where the team schedules various dates with prospective ladies during their time in town. Sometimes it may be more convenient for a man to organize a trip for the woman matched by Possible to meet him in another country and the agency supports the couple with their date abroad.
“We take care of everything our clients need,” Natalie said.
According to Natalie’s statistics, three out of every four Possible clients are so successful that the couples choose to get married. Natalie’s team can help with the logistics of planning weddings, including working with a wedding planner to find accommodations so the relationship gets off to a great start.
The company offers legal services, including securing a fiancé visa and helping the couple navigate any prenuptial agreements or the process of relocating children.
Natalie said that about 90% of the guys who work with her fall in love with the women she selects as matches. She’s hoping to increase that percentage to nearly 100%.
She said she has so much success because one of her goals is to change how people think about women interested in international dating.
“I see a different side in the women I work with. They are true “unicorns”. They are well educated, speak multiple languages, have good careers, and are very thoughtful and considerate,” she said. “They are attractive and family-oriented women.”
Natalie also wants to help Ukrainian women understand that the men who come to her are interesting, attractive guys. Some women are looking for local men, so she plans to expand her work to help romances within Ukraine.
Recently, the agency launched a new website to help make it easier for single clients to move through the journey of matchmaking and finding the love of their lives.
“The whole idea of Possible is looking at a man and woman, understanding what they want, and delivering it as fast as possible for them both,” she said.
