The Short Version: The Vida Consultancy started as a boutique matchmaking company in the UK, but its values-driven approach to dating has attracted clients from around the world. These savvy matchmakers use sound psychological principles to coach singles, handpick matches, organize private events, and facilitate deep personal connections. With over 7,000 members in its database, The Vida Consultancy can open clients up to a world of dating possibilities and motivate them to land the relationship of their dreams.

UK matchmaker Rachel MacLynn founded The Vida Consultancy in 2011 to help singles make sense of the dating scene. She relied on her psychological background, people skills, and business acumen to launch a successful matchmaking firm. As she gained experience, she developed a match system that used psychology to swiftly and effectively identified compatible couples.

Rachel MacLynn runs The Vida Consultancy with professionalism and compassion.

“When I first launched The Vida Consultancy, it was just me, my laptop, and a lot of ambition,” she said. “The team is now much bigger, and a major part of my role is developing and implementing our strategy to deliver a quality service to our members.”

Thanks to Rachel’s smart and personalized approach, The Vida Consultancy has flourished. The introduction agency now supports clientele in London, Manchester, Los Angeles, New York, Zurich, and Dubai.

While a lot has changed for the boutique company, its founding principles of professionalism, sincerity, and excellence have remained the same.

In 2018, The Vida Consultancy expanded its matchmaking services to include private, members-only events in London. The company partnered with EliteSingles to host the inaugural event, which had over 150 attendees. Rachel told us the events have been incredibly popular so far, and many Vida members relish the opportunity to make face-to-face connections.

“Our entire London matchmaking team attended to welcome everyone to the evening and facilitate introductions,” she said. “The crowd was amazing, and they all loved it, judging from the flurry of thank-you messages we received the following day.”

The Team Inspires You to Become Your Own Dating Expert

Rachel started her matchmaking company on her own, and she has slowly built a dream team of matchmakers, psychologists, and dating consultants. She handpicked individuals with the skills and insights to make a difference in people’s lives. These professionals believe in The Vida Consultancy’s core values and love-centric mission.

“I’d say 2018 was our most successful year yet,” Rachel told us. “It was our first full year of running our New York business where we now have a team of four matchmakers and a beautiful Midtown office.”

The Vida Consultancy’s London office also hired four new matchmakers to bring a fresh perspective to the longstanding team. Psychologist Madeleine Mason Roantree is a noteworthy addition to the team. She came on board in late 2018 as an in-house dating psychologist and relationship expert who coaches singles throughout the dating process.

Together, this team inspires clients to become dating experts in their own right. The Vida Consultancy views matchmaking through the lens of personal development, so the matchmakers take just as much care to prepare clients for a date as they do to arrange that date.

“We are developing a service that blends matchmaking and coaching for anyone who embraces the concept of self-improvement,” Rachel explained. “Our new Dating Blueprint service sets out a clear plan to help people navigate their dating journeys and learn all the skills required to handle the first date and beyond.”

The team aims to get to the root of a person’s dating issues and work through self-sabotaging thoughts or actions holding the client back. From start to finish, The Vida Consultancy’s well-rounded dating services help singles understand what’s going on beneath the surface and what they can do to manifest the relationship they deserve.

Under Rachel’s leadership, The Vida Consultancy has brought clarity to the dating scene and equipped countless singles to find a love that lasts.

“Once everything is mapped out in black and white, people’s chances of finding the right partner increases exponentially,” Rachel said.

Bringing Positivity & Professionalism to the Dating Scene

The dating process can come with frustration and confusion. Singles wonder what they should say, how they should dress, and where they should go to make a worthwhile connection, and sometimes they do everything right and still strike out. In the age of online dating, singles can become bogged down by ghosting, catfishing, and swiping, and they can forget dating is supposed to be a fun experience.

The Vida Consultancy aims to remove the game-playing and frustration from dating, so singles can relax and enjoy themselves.

Clients may show up to Vida’s offices feeling burnt out or out of options, but they’ll often leave in a more hopeful frame of mind. The matchmakers know how to bolster someone’s confidence and put them on a path to success. Many client reviews sing the praises of these hands-on professionals.

“Clients want transparency, honesty, professionalism, and fun,” Rachel said. “Our aim is to transform dating into a positive experience, and we always have one goal in mind: To get our clients into a relationship with a compatible partner.”

The Vida Consultancy’s Private Membership package includes a personal matchmaker to accompany clients through dating’s ups and down. This dating expert cheers the private member up while vetting date prospects and helping the client overcome any obstacles along the way to the introduction.

At this psychology-driven agency, the client’s state of mind plays a major role in the match process. The private consultations offer ample emotional support to encourage singles to believe love is not only possible, but probable.

Vida matchmakers give uplifting pep talks to singles so that when they go out with someone new, they don’t let fears or insecurities get in the way of a promising connection.

How Psychology Can Inform Relationship Choices

Online dating has blown up in the last decade, and some matchmakers see that as a threat, but Rachel sees it as an opportunity. She said she would love the chance to work with online dating services to improve the overall dating scene.

The Vida Consultancy’s partnership with EliteSingles has certainly been good news for both companies and the singles they serve. By launching events together, The Vida Consultancy and EliteSingles have risen their profiles and facilitated offline matches for Vida members.

“Our respective value propositions are complementary rather than competing, so, in the future, I see more online services partnering with offline matchmakers,” Rachel said.

The Vida Consultancy has done a great job of adapting to a fast-changing dating market, and the team plans to continue offering values-driven dating services to clients around the world. In the next year, The Vida Consultancy will expand its operation globally and host more exclusive events to get clients excited about dating.

“We have found that too many people, including highly successful individuals, are feeling overwhelmed, helpless, and frustrated with the myriad of choices in the dating world,” Rachel said. “I see real scope for psychology to shape the future of dating. Single people need more education on the psychology of attraction and compatibility.”

The Vida Consultancy bridges the knowledge gap in the modern dating scene and provides singles with everything they need to build a solid relationship. That journey starts by going inward and clearing away mental blocks and false beliefs. These high-end matchmakers have the emotional intelligence to advise daters and give them the tools to find happiness on their own.

The Vida Consultancy Gives Clients the Knowledge to Succeed

After working as a matchmaker for so many years, Rachel saw an opportunity to educate singles about how to tackle dating and relationship issues, and she has built an empire based on her psychological insights. The Vida Consultancy has taken her ideas and run with them, offering exclusive events, one-on-one coaching, and high-end matchmaking services to get singles where they want to be.

Rachel and her team have come a long way in the last eight years, yet The Vida Consultancy continues to break new ground and push the boundaries of what a matchmaking company can do. Looking to the future, Rachel said she plans on empowering the next generation of daters to get out of their comfort zones and into happy, healthy relationships.

“We believe that if people know who they should be looking for, online dating or matchmaking services will match more people successfully,” she told us. “My long-term aim is to introduce more psychology to the industry and partner with universities to conduct academic research.”
