Our LonelyHousewives review can tell you everything you need to know about this longstanding dating website for married women, MILFs, cougars, and the men who love them.

These days, there’s a niche dating site for anyone with any interest, and we’ve tested and reviewed just about all of them. From farmers to inmates to salad lovers to fans of British men, the list is practically never-ending — especially because 1,000 new dating websites hit the internet every year.

What if you’re a lonely housewife or a man looking for a lonely housewife? LonelyHousewives.com claims to have you covered, but before you join, there are some pros and cons you need to know about the dating site. We also have another suggestion if, at the end of this article, you decide Lonely Housewives isn’t for you.

LonelyHousewives.com Review | The #1 Alternative

LonelyHousewives.com Has a Reputation Among Singles as Being a Scam (2.9/5.0 Rating)

Self-touted as “the premier housewives dating network,” LonelyHousewives.com was created around 2004, according to the internet archive Wayback Machine. While it has a substantial history for a dating site, that’s not all there is to it. We’ll start with the good news, and then talk about the drawbacks.

Pros: Free to Sign Up, Browse, Receive IMs

The setup on Lonely Housewives is straightforward and similar to many other dating websites. You’ll see the signup section on the left-hand side, and you’re asked to enter your email address, username, password, birth date, gender (man, woman, or couple), gender you’re looking for, headline, and location. You can also describe your personal qualities and the type of match you’re interested in — as well as upload photos.

Keep your wits about you after this part, though, because Lonely Housewives will immediately direct you to a payment page that makes it seem like you have to register for a premium membership, starting at three days and going up to 90 days. You don’t have to complete this section. Just reload the Lonely Housewives homepage, and you’ll be taken to your profile.

On Lonely Housewives, you don’t have to pay anything to join, upload your information, search for matches, or access one-way IMing.

Once you get your profile up and running, the site allows you to search on your own (e.g., by photos, username, and age), favorite members you like, and receive IMs. Lonely Housewives picks out matches for you based on your dating criteria, and you can sort through these recommendations in the Random Match section.

All of this is 100% free. If that’s appealing to you, create a Lonely Housewives profile and get a feel for the site for yourself. No harm, no foul.

Just keep in mind that communication is not free on Lonely Housewives. The dating site does require you to pay if you want to send IMs or send and receive messages (among other things). The subscription prices range from $33.95 to $172.95 depending on the length of your membership.

Cons: Fake Profiles, Questionable Security, Negative User Feedback

Lonely Housewives has some sketchy features we think singles should know about. Sure, the site says it has thousands of members, particularly hot, horny older women, but we have our doubts about that. It’s one of those too-good-to-be-true things. Before we were even finished filling everything out, we were flooded with messages from “interested” users, and that immediately sent up a red flag to us.

Also, when just navigating around the site, we saw a lot of incomplete or cookie-cutter profiles with barely any information and broken English and grammar mistakes throughout. All of this just seems like a recipe for disaster.

We question how safe your information is on the site, too. There doesn’t seem to be SSL encryption (no key icon at the beginning of the URL), and Lonely Housewives admits at the bottom of the homepage that it doesn’t verify its members as authentic or conduct any background checks at all. That’s concerning, to say the least.

Lonely Housewives claims to have a vast user base, but you’ll see that most of the profiles are missing photos, or you’ll get messages from so-called matches asking for money.

We’re not the only ones who feel skeptical about Lonely Housewives. During our research, we found numerous complaints from people who had zero success on the site. For example, one user told PissedConsumer:

“I applied for a membership… for a fee of $3. I was charged $20 for another website membership that I did not apply for. This site is clearly running a scam! Customer support refused to refund me anything. And I haven’t received confirmation that my membership has been canceled as I requested.”

Another Lonely Housewives user said, “I have been visiting this site for about three months. I have sent countless messages (500+) to other female members and [am] getting only computer-generated, corny responses not even related to my message. You’ll also get a popup on your screen saying someone just viewed your profile and, after opening, they haven’t been on there for days.”

The #1 Alternative for Lonely Housewives

We’re not trying to scare you away from online dating or make you think you can’t get what you want out of it. If you’re looking into Lonely Housewives, though, it’s good for you to have all of the information. Plus, you have plenty of other options to choose from, including our favorite: BeNaughty. Our experts have created a graph that has all the biggest takeaways, which you can see below.

In addition to the impressive size and pricing (or lack thereof), BeNaughty has several safety measures in place. Not only does the site have a responsive customer service team that’s available all day every day — but, unlike Lonely Housewives, it also uses SSL encryption technology to protect your financial and personal information and screens every member via a phone call or text.

No matter if you’re a single housewife or a single guy attracted to housewives, BeNaughty can meet your needs without putting you in jeopardy.

You Can Do Better Than Lonely Housewives!

Niche dating websites have taken the online dating industry to the next level, allowing singles to really hone in on their desires and find a person who’s exactly their type. However, not all dating websites are large enough or legit enough to serve your interests and deliver real-life dates.

In terms of the lonely housewife demographic, we’d steer clear of Lonely Housewives. There are more reputable alternatives, like BeNaughty, out there to help you meet genuine people and get laid ASAP. Though LonelyHousewives.com may sound awfully tempting, our reviewers found few reasons to believe it actually works the way it promises it does, so you’d better think twice before joining.
