The Short Version: For faith-based singles looking for a match, zeroing in on someone with the same desire to bond on a spiritual level can be tough. That’s where OnDaySix.com comes in. As a dating site that connects single Christians looking to celebrate their relationships with God, OnDaySix’s mission is to build a lasting legacy of healthy families and sustainable unions. Since 2011, the site has welcomed members from all over the world, and, through its intuitive usability, vast network of like-minded Christians, and pointed dating advice, has helped them find love.

When Wendee Mannon was looking for a partner, she decided to try her friend’s faith-based dating site, OnDaySix.com. Little did she know that setting up a simple profile would change the rest of her life.

Wendee met a man named Shane who was living in Hawaii (she lived in California at the time), and the two of them bonded almost instantly.

“That was in 2012,” she said. “It was just a really amazing connection, and we believe God was involved in making it happen.”

In 2013, the couple was married and eventually relocated to Texas. Wendee, a longtime blog contributor for OnDaySix, decided to purchase the dating site from her friend and set off on a passionate journey to help other Christians find faith-based relationships.

Wendee Mannon’s goal at OnDaySix is to help singles find love and strengthen relationships with God.

Since she took the reigns, Wendee has brought thousands of people together while building out the brand’s resources that now include blog posts, video interviews, and interactive social media posts.

“My husband and I are a personal testimony for the site,” she said. “What we’ve done is create a place for people who are really passionate about their faith to get connected with like-minded singles, and, hopefully, there’s some kind of romantic spark there.”

A Platform Built to Strengthen Social and Spiritual Bonds

The mission of OnDaySix is centered around educating a generation on how to date, choose a mate, and love that person. Furthermore, the site aims to connect singles via an advanced online dating platform that encourages social connection while celebrating what Wendee refers to as “kingdom-core values” that focus on creating a healthy family and using the power of freedom to serve one another in love.

“It’s a great way to help people get healthy and choose a mate who is great for their life,” she said. “The site’s mission is to help people have healthy relationships, choose a mate wisely, and love them well.”

OnDaySix is easy to use and offers free dating searches. The process begins like most other dating apps and sites. Simply sign up and create a profile that describes you and what you’re looking for in a life partner. You can also post pictures, send winks, and search other members for free. OnDaySix members represent a broad demographic and include college students, ministry school students, and professionals. But they all share the common foundation of Christian faith.

“We have members in almost every nation,” said Wendee. “A lot of our membership is between the ages of 25 and 38. We also have a growing 50-plus age group with new people signing up every day.”

Educating Singles About Dating That Leads to Marriage

Before singles begin looking for their forever mate on the site, Wendee encourages them to first prepare for love. OnDaySix offers invaluable resources, including videos on dating and relationships and informative blog posts, to help them get started. Featured videos tackle topics ranging from “The Top 6 Things to Avoid in Your Profile Picture” to “Challenging the Problem of Pursuit.” The site also sources Pastor Dann Farrelly to deliver Christian perspectives on trust and waiting for “The One.”

“Our resources are a huge part of what we do,” she said. “Some of the challenges we’ve seen and things that we’re tackling relate to how to connect. With faith-based dating, there’s been a little disconnect with how to invite that type of love into your life and doing it in a healthy way.”

Wendee told us OnDaySix blog topics were developed around what resonates most with its audience. The most popular articles involve discussions on how men can pursue in an honoring way as the women authentically invite them to.

“I think one thing that has been helpful for people is understanding that being in a relationship has stages that you go through,” she said. “That’s been a really key piece, so that you don’t just meet someone and think ‘Oh, we’re going to get married.’ There are actual stages that happen as you make this big decision for your life.”

With a passion for educating people about healthy relationships, Wendee wrote a book titled “Love Unstuck: Be the Leading Lady,” which was released last March. The book describes Wendee’s unique journey to finding her husband. It’s a personalized walk through the perils of the Christian generation that kissed dating goodbye and into a time where God spoke to Wendee about “partnering with Him” to move toward meeting her husband. “Love Unstuck” can be found at online retailers such as Amazon.

Success Stories From Those Who Found Their Happily Ever After

Wendee and her husband’s story is not the only tale of success to come from OnDaySix. In fact, the site is teeming with stories of couples who have found their happily ever after.

Ashley and Tom are one example. In their marriage testimony video, Ashley spoke of the chain of events that led to their union.

“This guy sent me an email,” Ashley said pointing at Tom. “I immediately clicked on his picture and said ‘Whoa! He’s good looking.’”

The problem? Tom didn’t have his profile completely filled out, and, second-guessing his readiness for online dating, he left the site for a bit. But, after a few months, Tom rejoined and sent a life-changing email to Ashley.

“When I read Tom’s email to me [in November 2016], it was amazing,” Ashley said. “Fast forward to May, and we got married.”

“What drives me are the testimonies,” said Wendee. “Every time we get one, it’s really cool to hear the stories and post them on the blog. That’s what really keeps me going — the people who are connecting and how much it means to them. It’s the fun part of the business.”

One success story Wendee loves to relay is about a woman she met at church who decided to give OnDaySix a chance. The woman found her now-husband through the site. He was living in Seattle at the time and she in Texas. He moved to Texas to be near her and the two got married this past July, and both Wendee and Shane were in attendance.

“It’s really cool when I do know the people, but there are a lot of people I don’t know and you think ‘Wow! I’m helping someone who I’ve never met and now they’ve met this amazing person they’re going to share their life with,’” Wendee said. “That’s my big vision for it all — connecting people.”

OnDaySix: Spreading God’s Word Through Love & Empowerment

The vision at OnDaySix.com is to distinguish itself from other online faith-based dating websites by emphasizing the importance of covenant-based relationships. The idea is to foster spiritual bonds between couples that lead to the formation of healthy, happy families.

“One thing that sets us apart is that you can put the name of the church that you connect with on your profile,” Wendee said. “Whether that be Joel Osteen or International House of Prayer, it can help when you’re connecting with other users on the site.”

Finding a forever mate who values your faith is no small task, but Wendee, along with so many others, have proven that it’s possible.

At OnDaySix, Wendee is spreading God’s word through love and empowerment to help connect Christians form healthy relationships steeped in the teachings of a higher power.
